I bought a 9' x 12' area rug a few months ago before the holidays that admittedly I purchased on price alone because I didn't want to spend over $400 on one that was slightly thicker, but it didn't have any measure of cushioning or comfort and was always slipping and gathering up.I tried one of the cheaper rug backers that is a rubberized mesh type, and even though it prevented some of the slipping, it added no cushioning to the rug at all.I came across this rug backer and ordered the 1/4" thick and it instantly solved all of the problems.Now the rug feels like a much more expensive rug, it stays in place and doesn't slip, gather or bunch up.It's great because you can get by purchasing a cheaper rug in combination with this rug backer and have the benefits of a thicker rug, but still be able to wash the thinner rug in the washing machine, all for about half the cost or less than a more expensive rug.I am very satisfied with this rug backer for the function, comfort and quality of it as well as the fact that it was shipped and received fast.I can definitely recommend this rug backer for anyone with similar issues they would like to resolve and do so for a great price.5- Stars!

I got the 9'x12' rug pad and cut it down to size. It was fairly easy to cut. Underneath my large rug, this helped make it slightly softer and comfier while also not sliding around at all.The rug pad wasn't perfectly square in the corners to start with, which made it slightly more difficult to trim (the rectangle was ever so slightly a parallelogram). Additionally, the rug pad wasn't as thick as I was hoping, despite ordering the 1/4" thick option. That being said, it didn't end up being a deal breaker. I measured it being closer to 1/8" than 1/4". Finally, there were some slight quality issues with the rubber backing, but this did not become a problem, either.Overall, a solid rug pad that makes rugs comfier and grippier.

I ordered this for a large rug in my living room. I was tired of it slipping (it's a very lightweight rug) and worried about tripping.This Felt Non-Slip Rug Pad is very well made. I was pleased to see that it comes in 1/8" thickness because my rug is thin, and a thicker pad would only have made the rug a tripping hazard.The pad is well made and the non-slip surface on the back stays put.I had to cut it to size and was able to easily do that with a pair of sewing scissors. My husband got his chalk line from his tool chest and snapped a line for me to then just cut with ease.I would say that if you have a lightweight rug like mine, you might want to find a different rug pad. I can't get my rug to lay flat on it - the trouble is my rug, not the Rug Pad - no matter how I try. It is smooth and flat after I vacuum, but between vacuumings it bumps up.Great rug pad, definitely non-slip, but may not work with light weight rugs. I am hoping that over time my rug will behave and lay flat because I really do like the quality of this rug pad.

The pad arrived and was as advertised. The overall quality is good from my impression. It has a rubber non-slip backing and a nice dense felt padding. I can't comment on long-term durability, but it fits and the padding should help to extend the life of my valuable rug. I didn't notice any particular smell from it.

My living room rug was a little thinner than I wanted, yet I didn’t want something under it that would cause a tripping hazard. I got the 9 x 12’ size and I had to cut the width down a bit ( the instructions that came with the pad explained that you may have to do that). It is a nice solid felt with a rubber backing. I live in a 2nd floor apartment, and I am sure that the neighbors downstairs can tell a difference. Though a quarter inch doesn’t seem like much, this pad make the rug look thicker and the feel is softer. I think it is a good value for the money.

I am a particular fan of this rug pad, after ordering many different styles and brands. The quarter inch thickness is just right - not to high or trippy, but still cushiony feeling. The non slip actually works and the rug stays put. No bad smells or off-gassing. A winner I will order again.
