We recently purchased a 28’ long carpet runner for our hallway. The rug has a cotton backing and would slide very easily on our wood floors. I purchased two of these rug pads and trimmed them slightly to fit our runner, and we couldn’t be happier. No sliding whatsoever. The rug pads have a grippy rubber backing that lays on the floor, and the top-facing side is a felt-like material that does a fantastic job “gripping†the cotton backing on the rug. In a way it prevents sliding and slippage twice: between the floor and the rug pad and between the rug pad and the rug. Very easy to trim with scissors. Would buy again.

This non-slip felt pad does the job! After recarpeting, I bound the edges of scraps to make runners....initially, I tried the ruberized grid type mats from the home textile big box store - they worked a couple of weeks, but started sliding around! Plus, they were leaving grid marks on my wood floor! This pad stopped the sliding & gave my runners the plush quality feel under foot I really wanted. One runner pad was long enough for my 2 rugs & it was easy to cut with scissors.Quality, Value, Effective - Right to my door! Perfect!

Ordered this because it was less expensive than buying from a local carpet supplier. I needed a pad to go under a 16' hall runner to protect the hardwood flooring which was too thick as our double bi-fold doors on the linen closet needed to clear the rug when opened. Exactly the right height. I rated adhesion 4/5 because the runner does move over time but it's very easy to straighten it out. I rated it a 3/5 for softness because it isn't particularly soft as it is not too thick. The runner itself is very cushiony. Great value.

I highly recommend this to anyone that have hard wood floors. We have tried others and they either slide all over when you walk on them or the rug never stays in place. With this one the rug stays in place and I do not have to worry about someone slipping and falling.

I ordered the same brand for a runner rug, as well as an 8x10. And each of them were oversized, requiring trimming. The 8x10 was 2" longer and 6" wider.Normally I wouldn't complain, but this material is quite rough on a sharp blade. Our good scissors are no longer our "good scissors".

What I needed . Made floor rugs much more cushioned. In the past I never put a pad under my rugs. The pads made a big difference. Cut to size when needed. Enhanced my walking on rug experience on my hard wood floors

The pad is great! Exactly what we needed to place under our runner in the hallway. It arrived on time and in perfect condition.I was excited because it stated the exact size, 2 ft x 16 ft, to perfectly fit underneath our runner. But it is actually 3ft wide 😕 Not that big of a deal since I will be able to cut it. However, I'm just slightly disappointed that I do have to cut it (I'm a perfectionist and also lazy). Better too big than roo small anyway.Other than the size discrepancy, I'm very pleased with the product, and my purchase, and would recommend it ðŸ‘5âï¸

I am disappointed in this product because it is too thin. I read the reviews and thought it would be fine but it doesn’t have the cushioning I expected. If you just want something to protect your floor it’s fine but if you want some nice cushioning it’s not enough.

It didn't slip around and seemed to be fairly good in quality, except that it made my apartment smell like cat pee, which made me think my cats peed on something until I found out it was the rug. And no, my cats did not pee on that rug, it really just smelled like that
