A contractor threw away the power connector for my 7 year old Nest Protect and Google, being the awesome company they are, refused to sell a replacement, told me my only option was to buy a new smoke detector, because my units are more than 1 year old. I guess they don't want to support basic replacement parts on a product that's expected to last 10 years, per the industry standard. Awesome, right?Realizing that's completly unacceptable from a consumer perspective, after spending months trying to source a used replacement, then researching 3D plans for replacement parts from the internet (at least one exists, but you need to add correct connectors into it), I finally broke down and bought this kit because Molex plastic connectors happen to be the correct dimensions to fit, and it came with the necessary ready-to-crimp connectors.Well, I'm here to say, after 3-4 months of use, and proper termination using the correct crimpers on correct-gauge wiring, my NEST PROTECT has been running perfectly. I did need to trim the plastic clip off the side of the translucent plastic, but otherwise it was a perfect fit. Pics attached, or it didn't happen, right? If you're a disenfranchised Google product owner as I am, I can tell you after 3 support calls, they don't care. Buy this kit, and take the power back. Quite literally.

There are a couple of different types of 2-pin mini-fit Jr. If you have to have a specific type of locking to match an existing connector, some will match better than others. In the assortment I got, they all would fit the lock on the narrow side, but not all would fit with the lock on the wide side. But, not all connectors are identical, so if you are matching an existing connector, look carefully at all six to find one that matches best. I didn't do this, and cut off some extra plastic, only to look at the other connectors and found a couple that would have matched without cutting off any plastic. But, it served my purpose anyways.I got 2 extra of each male and female pins, which is helpful if one has to practice to get the crimping right without a proper crimping tool.

Needed to redo a broken molex. Was super easy to rewire a new one.It comes in a connected continuous "tray" of connectors. Be careful when snapping of a single connector from the tray. Kinda fragile when its outside the plastic casing.

I used to connect new rechargeable batteries to an old device, fish finder by Humminbird. The previous 8 AA battery pack kept failing – corrosion on contacts. This allowed me to use a 12vdc rechargeable pack.

Difficult to get the pins properly. Retained in the holders- Takes a bit of work to get them to work correctly
