Very helpful for our bathroom remodel. I’m adding a walk in shower and had to tie a new drain into the existing sewer line. After chiseling thru the slab I discovered a second slab about 4-5 inches under the first one. Had to dig a total of 24 inches down to fully expose the sewer line….this 16 inch chisel made it much easier. Good quality and I’ve had no issues with it.

Not sure if you’ve ever had a project where if you didn’t have one specific tool, there is no way you would’ve got it accomplished. That was the case with this chisel. We were doing some digging for concrete pillars in Tennessee and the amount of rock in the ground is unbelievable. This chisel being used with a Ryobi SDS hammer drill ALLOWED US TO GET THROUGH MULTIPLE AREAS WHERE THE AUGER WAS GETTING HUNG UP ON ROCKS. THIS CHISEL WOULD BREAK THOSE ROCKS UP OR HELP GET THEM OUT OF THE WAY. IT WOULD’VE CERTAINLY TAKEN MANY MANY MORE HOURS TO DO THIS WITH A SHOVEL OR A TAMPING ROD BECAUSE WE TRIED BOTH, BUT NOTHING WAS AS GOOD AS THE CHISEL. (Why did this change my words to uppercase???) oh well.

This arrived in a long plastic slide-together case, much like you'd see drill bits or router bits packaged in. I have some SDS Plus chisels, but they're shorter length (6-8"), so what that means is, if you're working something at floor level, you have to bend, squat or sit to use them. This chisel being 16" makes it much more comfortable to work. I probably should have looked this up before ordering this, but wasn't familiar with what 40cr steel was. According to a quick search, it's a very widely used steel in China, and has moderate strength and toughness. That doesn't sound promising for long-term durability, but so far, I don't have any issues.
