The Monoprice Cat5 Enhanced Patch Panel was offered by a number of sellers when I purchased mine - and my first transaction (from seller cables-direct-online) was a failure. They advertised the Monoprice item, yet sent me another brand that lacked the features that were the reason I chose the Monoprice in the first place. Compounding that, they did not reply to my messages. Fortunately, Amazon refunded me so that I could re-purchase from someone more reliable (I chose Monoprice because I knew they'd not ship a competitor's product).Since this was my first foray into home networking, I wanted a panel that was easy to use. If you're an expert you can probably get by with no "frills" but I needed a bit of a guide. This comes with the blocks clearly color-coded via labels (for both 568 A and B) so that you can easily punch in your wire in the correct order. It also states that it works with a 110 punch tool, which was information I found useful. Other panels I looked at either did not say, or reviewers indicated that they needed a different type of punch. Since I already own a 110, I wanted a panel that worked with the tool I have. It did come with a flimsy plastic punch but I opted not to use it. It may work fine if you have strong hands, but I needed more assist from my punch.Included are zip ties to use with the plastic slots to help support the cables, and plastic caps to help keep the wiring in place. No instructions were included, but I didn't really need any. The only thing I found I wanted, but was lacking were screws to mount the panel (easily remedied with odd ones I have on hand, but still... incomplete without them). I'd knock off a half-star for those 2 omissions but can't bring myself to knock off a whole one for those minor things. It was easy to use and works fine, so I'm happy with my purchase and recommend this panel to others.

I think this is a great product. It’s cheaper to buy this 96 port panel than it is to buy 3x24, a 24 and 48, or whatever combination of panels from whatever supplier or manufacturer. But, it’s FAR from a “cheaply made” item.My ONLY little nit pick is that the delliniation between the punches for ports 1&2 and 3&4 and so on do not have any sort of markers or lines. I had to count punches / color changes so I could know where to find 3 if I hadn’t first punched 1&2. Other panels have the numbers and some vertical lines on the back to help find and keep your spot.

Not business class but not business class price. Really like the price and works great. Speeds are same through the panel as plugged direct. Would buy again.

Pros:-Good quality-Easy to punch downCons:-Nothing comes to mind hereQuality: The quality of the product is acceptable and I had no issues with it. Its a typical patch panel. The good thing is there was plenty of space to work with here when punching down the Cat6 cable.Value: Great value here ($20 - $50).I went out and bought one of the cheaper panels that I could find (happened to be this one) and I have no complaints. Please not that I used unshielded CAT6 cable with this and its much easier to punch down. There was plenty of space to work.

I installed this the other day and used the included punch down tool to punch down the wiring and the gap in the tool is too wide and only serves to stretch the wiring over the contact point inside the channel. Sometimes it would actually work but only a few of the ports I wired up actually worked. I am having to go back through and re-punch most of the wiring with a different tool. Quite irritating.

This is one of my top picks for patch panels. Good price, well built and haven't had any issues with any of the ones I've purchased

You can get these for $18 with prime if you watch it. I have two of these in my basement rack, both connected to their own Zyxel GS1100-24 switches. The attached picture is older, showing only one patch panel. I have a basic 110 punch-down tool from Monoprice that works fine with these. All ports work at full gigabit speed. They are cheap and effective for my needs.

I used this patch panel to help me clean up the wiring for my network. Before having it, I had all sorts of cables dangling around everywhere.I've installed it into my wall-mounted server rack and tied it into 2 different switches. One switch manages my POE devices (Security Cameras, WiFi AP's), the other one manages my wired network. It included a cheap punch-down tool, which does the job. The only criticism I have regarding the punch-down tool is that it doesn't clip off the excess wire. The diagrams on the back of the panel guide you perfectly for where to run your wires. All similar coloured wires are kept together (Orange/Orange Stripe) and the panel sorts out the correct ordering on the RJ45 female side of things.
