Exactly what I needed to terminate wiring in a confined space. Rewired my home office and wanted to properly run ports to each location instead of having a mess of crazy long jumper cables running everywhere. Used it in combination with these (http://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-Pack-Surface-Mount/dp/B00IO3H88C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1459026194&sr=8-1&keywords=cat6+surface+mount) Cat6 jacks for a clean, reliable, proper, and most importantly inexpensive setup.Found it nearly impossible to route all 12 cables either through the top or bottom. I had to split most of the runs to run through the top and the remaining through the bottom otherwise you really have to jam the cables in order to get it to snap into the mount plate.Would also have preferred to have the punch downs better identified for each port. You really have to start punching down wires from either end first and work your way to the centers to keep from miss-wiring it. Can't complain given the price though.Make sure you trim your ends nicely if you're not using a cutting punchdown tool.

Was the cheapest available in Vertical 12 Ports Cat6 and resulted in an excellent product.Enough room for the 12 cables if you are handy and simple to wired as with any patch panel. If you have no experience wiring these, just take a look on a Youtube video, decide on 568A or B (which are the same but need to be consistent), and do not cut less cable than necessary. Not tested as Cat6, just using as Cat5e Gigabit Ethernet at home.

Needed a small-fish patch panel for a newly installed home network. This fit the bill, was cost-effective, and easy to install. Could have spent a lot more on more recognizable brands, but no complaints on quality or use in the 6 months I've had it in place.

I used this to clean up our “IT closet” at home. I was glad to see that it’s very sturdy given the price. No issues. Would highly recommend for your home project or a small office.

I didn't rate the "Durability" I just installed, only time will tell. However here are a couple of things to be aware (1). because there is very little room in the behind the block you may want to route the cables on the outside of the bracket, CAT6a will never fit. (2) If your using two or more they need to be mounted side by side due to the lack of room behind the block & bracket unless you route the cables on the outside of the brackets.

1. The spacing of the color guide does NOT match the pin spacing -- 8 colors are drawn in the space of 6 pins; 2. For a given cable, 2 pairs (4 wires) go on one side and 2 pairs (4 wires go on the other side; 3. The paper instructions that came with mine are incorrect; 4. There is NO tiedown for the cables; 5. My toner/probe indicated significant signal crossover between ports 2 and 1 and even some signal crossover between ports 6 and 1

Doing my first job ever with punch tools and I find that this panel was great for my new home addition. I wired 9 connections to it, used a tester and every spot worked flawlessly. No complaints from me.
