Worked great, no leaking at all. I only needed to replace the gasket on the bowl, it wasn't holding water any longer. I was also able to remove just the bowl from the base. There is no need to take the base off the floor if you can reach around to the back and remove the two screws holding the bowl to the base. I did use plumber's grease as recommended. I've never replaced this before and I had it off and back on within 30 min.

I didn’t realize until well into the installation that this kit simply does not fit the aqua magic style plus toilet. I struggled with the parts thinking I was doing something wrong for hours. The ball was too tight in the toilet too turn easily enough for the spring and cable to open and close. The extension piece that the spring and cable mechanism connect to is far too long to integrate with the other parts of the existing toilet. I wasted hours and hours trying to make this work. Should have ordered an actual Thetford part it’ll teach me to buy some cheaper Chinese knock off.

Be sure to use both seals on the ends of the ball valve. The instructions were hard to see and follow. Thetford cautions against using Vaseline in place of plumbers silicone grease. Vaseline will breakdown rubber. I don’t know for sure if this seal is or not but I didn’t want to take a chance.Videos on line didn’t mention the second seal. Works great now!

My flap busted while on the road and I had to wait till I got back to repair my toilet. This product is a perfect fit and was easy to install. I would recommend having one on hand.

The RV toilet broke and the ball valve was stuck open. It was open for all the oder to fill the camper. Was not fun. I watched a YouTube video that helped me understand better how the toilet works. I made sure I used plumbers grease, I have zero leaks. The part works better than the original. You don't appreciate something until it fails. I appreciate this part. It took me longer to put it back together because the main spring became disconnected. I will not make that mistake again. It was very hard to get the spring back into position. Good luck.

Unfortunately this doesn't fit my Thetford Style Plus RV toilet. The Thetford repair kit part number is 34090. Unfortunately I couldn't find one of those on Amazon so you'll have to search the internet for "Thetford 34090" to get one. Whatever this fits the kit seems well made.

No amount of Plumbers Grease or Silicone would make this waste ball valve turn in either direction once installed. It just locked in place. I took it apart and reseated everything multiple times and it still wouldn't turn. Called Thetford customer service and ended up on hold for OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF during the process of trying to make this thing work. By the time a person actually got on the phone I did two things: 1) asked if there was some kind of secret I didn't know to make this work (the answer was "no, it should work") and 2) I informed them that the "best replacement part for my Thetford Model 34420" was "a new Dometic toilet". As soon as I got off the phone I ordered a new Dometic 320 and it's perfect.In the meantime I removed, sanitized and repackaged the waste ball and drive arm, etc for return and used a clear version of a red solo cup half to 3/4's filled with water (gently but firmly pushed into the black seal) to block the opening down into the black tank while the new toilet was enroute. Using the plastic cup worked great to keep odors out of the coach AND still allow me to use the toilet (remove cup to use, then replace the cup when done and after rinsing bowl). The idea to keep water in the cup is to add weight so it continues to create a seal with the black ring in the opening.
