This high jump training equipment is a good way to train beginners. It will help with the fear of hitting the high jump pole. The only thing that I wish was that it was already tied together. Other than that it's great!

The product was not tied at the ends to best hold up during a high jump practice. The bungee does not give much and has had both ends snap after just 2 uses. I would suggest trying another product.

These things are weirdly polarizing in my experience. I like bungee bars a lot because they're easy to adjust the height on for jumpers of different abilities and you don't have to put them back on after every time someone hits it. One of my fellow coaches doesn't like them though, and our athletes also seem split. In any case, this is a solid bungee bar. The only complaint I have is that they didn't do anything to prevent fraying on the elastic cord, which meant that mine arrived already starting to fray. Easily remedied with a few seconds over a lighter to melt the ends, but I feel like that's something they should have done in the first place.

I got this high jump trainer to help my neighbor work with two of his children, who were training for every type of track event at the time. After working with them for about 3 weeks, on and off, they lost interest. I took the item apart and used the bungee cord for my kayak and the foam cylinders for padding the guide poles on the trailer for my jonboat. The elastic used to make the cord is good quality, has excellent stretch, and rebounds fast; the foam rollers have stayed soft and work perfectly for both high jump training and for anything else I can think of. This is a great quality product and in no way is it the fault of the manufacturer that the preteens I wanted to help are fickle.

It’s light weight, stretchy and soft, what more can you am for. It has great give so it’s not going to bust. It stretches I don’t even know how far, but further than you need it too. Setup should be extremely simple and tear down just as simple. I have no complaints about this high jump bar (or limbo bar if you want to go there).

If you've ever done high jump at a Track and Field meet, you know how much landing on the bar can hurt, even on the thicker mats. This elastic bar makes it a lot more forgiving for younger jumpers to work on their form and take more jumps at practice. Constantly resetting the solid bar takes time away from practice, a problem that this product solves. Helping young jumpers get over their fear of landing on the bar without getting hurt builds confidence as well. This should be in every high jump coaches bag of training aids.

Using mostly for approach work until we find something suitable to land on!
