I am new To the felting world and I did not know what I was missing until I found the hand tool. It is a must have to keep your fingers from tiring out. Large kit and low price. Very happy.

I also got these to repair cat scratches to my furniture so I can’t comment on how effective the needles are for felt crafting. But for me, the little barbs on the ends of the needles are just a tiny bit too barb-like. I think I need finer needles. But it was hard to tell what the gauge of these needles would be. So for me, it’s not the right tools to finish the repair to my chair but maybe it’s better for needle felters.

These needles were a great price; however they smell toxic. I can’t use them because they smell like they have been on a moldy wet boat for months. I have them in a ziplock bag with baking soda hoping they will smell better in a few months. Disappointed!
