I need to transport my canoe (Old Town Discovery 158 which is 15 feet 8 inches long) from my yard and down the street a couple houses to the lake. I do this in the spring and the fall when the canoe is used for the season. I used to pick up the canoe and place it on my shoulders to do this. Getting a little older makes it more difficult to lift, turn and get it into place. The cart works great. Placing the canoe is an easy flip off the ground by placing one end on the cart and picking up the opposite end and walking it down the street. My neighbors were impressed the first time and now they ask to use it too! I recommend this product.

Arrive as promised, I didn't open the box until yesterday. One of the tires was flat, so I added air and off to the lake I went. The lake is close to my home and a path leads to it. OK everything is fine. Went for a paddle around the lake for about an hour. When I arrive back at shore I attached the cark to the kayak. Thats when I noticed the flat tire. Went home and added air and sprayed the tire with soapy water and the leak was around the valve stem. I wasn't able to return the item. time for return had expired. After spending $10.00 for a new tube and time to remount the tire, I was back in business.

I purchased two of these kayak carriers as we have two of the light blue lifetime Hydros kayaks. I've seen many people using this type of kayak carrier at the lakes we go to, so I had a good idea how they worked and the slightly different styles beforehand by watching people use them over the past year. This is basically one of the good ones, instead of the single arm stand on one side that would dig in soft sand, this one has the full length rounded bar stand that won’t dig in the sand. With all these types of kayak carriers the cinch strap they all come with is basically useless so toss that cinch strap straight out with the packaging when you get it. Instead just buy a cheap pack of ratchet straps, as a ratchet strap will hold the kayak carrier securely to the kayak, hook one end of the ratchet strap to the kayak carrier frame, go over the top of the kayak and hook the other end of the strap to the kayak carrier frame on the other side. The cheap cinch strap that you get with this and all kayak carriers is not a ratchet strap and will not hold the kayak to the carrier like you would want, and it will come off when you bounce over the smallest of pebbles. If like mine your inflator valves on the wheels jut out a bit and hit the lynch pins that hold the wheels on, simply turn the wheels around so the inflator valves are both facing inwards...problem solved! Also if the lynch pins that hold the wheels on are on are loose and these lynch pins won’t stay on the wheel, simply flip the circle part of the lynch pin all the way over to the other side, as the lynch pins hold tighter and more securely one way and looser the other...problem solved! This kayak carrier folds up dead flat in seconds and has the quick release wheels (lynch pins) that you can quickly remove and store in your kayak to save space. Over all this is one of the better kayak carriers than some of the other ones on amazon. I would definitely recommend this one. I’m 100% happy with it all-round.

The kayak cart works okay. The big tires are great for the sandy beaches. But the strap to fasten and secure my kayak is too small; my kayak may be too big for the cart as it is very hard to balance without it falling off.

unstable.. falls off in transit constantly. Half price now from what I paid in 2021.. I can see why this is not popular

Did not come with any instructions, but easy to figure out. Just need to place tires on add end caps, align holes, insert pins, put air in tires, and you're ready to go! I'm 64 so it makes it much easier to transport my kayak to the water. Slight the smell but its outside so no big deal.

It sucks that it didn’t come with a guide to attach it to the kayak the best possible way

i bought this for my 10 foot dingy in order to wheel it down to the beach from my pickup truck. the empty boat weighs around 100 lbs. it made it down to the water, i went boating, returned, and on the return tow from the water back to the truck (150 feet on semi compacted sand) both wheels caved in and it went in the garbage. beware this is for extremely light duty towing not on sand…
