After connecting part for tailgate lock did not open tailgate. Disconnected and Reconnected part 3 imes with same result. You can lock and unlock doors with switch but TAilgate release button DOES NOT WORK and can not open tailgate with release button

The buttons worked perfectly upon install, but the clip itself is a looser fit, and has already pushed through the hole. I will need to modify it with some rubber to keep it tighter in the hole.Update: it’s been 34 days and the button stopped working. My trunk is stuck shut.
