Despite the great design and aesthetics of this watch it’s absolutely useless with a battery life of 8-10 hours even with all the settings optimized and no apps running. Absolute trash. Movado should be ashamed to put their name on this.

I've wanted this smart watch for so long. Alas, my anticipation has been deflated. The battery life is barely 10-12 hours, the functions are just okay. The watch faces aren't as vibrant as I thought they would be... it's just a pretty accessory to track my steps at this point. Hopefully they will create a upgrade that lives up to the Movado name.

You are probably purchasing this Movado watch because you are familiar with the brand and their classic styling - this watch is no different. It is beautiful in its simplicity and is what you expect from the brand. If you are already familiar with Google Wear OS then you won't have any surprises - the watch executes without lag and works as expected; I have paired it with a Pixel 3 (Android) so that probably helps with the fluidity.Battery life is about a day with normal use - and even longer if you turn off WiFi outside of the home (I just leave it off all the time). The case size is 42mm so it's just a little smaller than the other brands and can easily be work by all. The band is a Velcro like material that is soft and not too firm. It's like a wearing dress shoes with jeans - the pairing of black fabric with stainless steel is a nice contrast.If you are looking for the latest Google Wear OS Smart Watch with a sense of simple fashion and classic styling - this is the watch for you!

Let me get this out of the way quick: I wore a Pebble for several years and charging once a week has been hard to give up. That said unlike a previous processor generation I had from Skagen, this Movado solidly gets me through a whole day. If I forget to charge it at night there is usually still charge left the next day and it charges pretty fast anyway. This is with the face set to only come on when manually activated or my wrist turns. Reasonably sensitive so I don't get frustrated but does often activate when I roll over in bed.Physically it is pretty simple. A classy gunmetal finish with two buttons and a unremarkable crown. The entire thing is pretty understated. My biggest problem with the watch is the strap. I don't have trouble with the velcro catching my arm hair but it just doesn't stay closed very well with sleeves catching it open and it just uncomfortable so I'm adjusting it often. I prefer link straps anyway so I went to see what Movado offered. What!?! Those straps are the price of some other whole WearOS watches! I recommend hitting up Amazon instead and pay a 10th of that.Functionality wise I don't have a lot to say as it's really just WearOS and that's the way I like it; no useless changes by the manufacturer. There are a classy set of custom watch faces and I haven't felt the need to go looking for others. The physical buttons work well and the crown has a pleasing smooth resistance to it. The only thing that I notice sometimes is when using the google assistant but long pressing the crown it is often delayed in being ready for my query so I usually have to try several times for it to get what I said. This seems to be after a period of un-use so it may be a result of power saving features.I have several watches I like and I wear this one every day now so I think that's about the best recommendation I can give. I'm still looking for a new strap and I don't use the assistant enough for it to be a huge bother but it's something to note.

Definitely listen to the other reviews about battery life. If I turned off every feature of the watch I can get through one day

I've been using this for about a month with my Samsung Note8. It works great right out of the box. It needs to be charged every night, but lasts all day. Only once did it run out of power during the day and there was a lot of exercise that day. It works for notifications and controls well. I'm very happy with this watch and it has become my new daily.
