These were exactly what I needed to replace old magnets that had dry rotted after being in the sun for several years. The magnet strength is wonderful they fit perfectly. I did not even have to drill new holes for the screws and they were extremely cost-effective compared to buying one item at the big box stores.

These come in handy when older magnet closers break. I open and close my shutters a lot. These magnets are a great replacement and work great on closing my shutters.

Product description shows the outer edge hole separation to be 38mm/1.5in. Actual outer edge hole separation is 40mm/1.6in. Small difference, but enough to make the magnetic catch unsuitable as a replacement for the existing catches since the holes don't align. The hole separation shown on the drawing is actually center-to-center, not outer edge-to-outer edge.
