My favorite thing about this compass is that is has a safety cover that slides over the sharp point. Also, it comes in a sweet little case that fits the compass perfectly. We're a homeschooling family with kids that love to draw and do art; this is perfect for them to make perfect circles for their artwork. But I love that it will double as what it's made for - math equations - when we reach that stage. Would recommend!

Handy little geometric compass for when your younger students are getting introduced to geometry. Certainly doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the more pricier options, but my 8th grader tested it out and said if works "really good!". This compass does not appear to have both the pointy tip (the one like a nail) and the not so point tip for use on your nice wooden kitchen table, so be mindful to where the user is using the compass and make sure there is adequate padding to protect against damage to the surface below. Good value and it works as intended.

With several children in high school, I realized we were in need of an additional compass for our homeschool school supplies. This compass seems to be well made and works just as expected. The price seems very reasonable to me. I have no complaints and feel confident recommending this to others based upon our experience and my personal opinions. Five stars.

It's not the nicest compass by any means, so if you're needing a compass for professional purposes, best to stick with the heavier duty all metal ones.For casual occasional circle drawing though, it's super cheap and does the job, and that's exactly what I was looking for.The angle joint doesn't have a mechanism to tighten or loosen, it purely relies on tension/resistance to hold the angle, so it takes some effort to pull apart and push back together, and I do wonder about durability. But again, for the price, no complaints.

This compass is pre-sharpened. It is ready to use.Great for creating circles as part of drawing or math related.Durable, comes with it's own case.Recommend.
