German Fingering and Baroque Fingering :
You can tell which version you have by looking at the 4th and 5th holes down from the top.
If the 4th hole is smaller than the 5th, it's Baroque.
If the 4th hole is larger, it's German.
If you need a recorder to use in school, check with your teacher to make sure you get the right type!

This one is made well compared to what I thought it would be. The sound is good too! Brings me back to elementary school and was fun to watch my daughter try it. It's a pretty pastel pink and my daughter added some small heart stickers to doll it up before class next week.

It's a fun little musical instrument, comes with a book, looks nice. It fits good, it's easy to use and durable.

The day I had been dreading for years finally came. My third child had made it to the 4th grade, which meant one thing: recorders. I hate this instrument with every fiber of my being, and over the past several years of kids playing it, I have come to the conclusion that elementary music teachers are evil and sadistic. However, as far as recorders go, this is a fine one. The price is good, and it makes the right (albeit terrible) noises. My daughter was happy to get a pink one. It includes a case and a cleaner for the spit as well as a handy little guide for how to make the notes.

We ordered 2 different recorders for my little one and wanted to see if we can get away with the less expensive one. The make of this is fine enough if you want to have a toddler play with it but if you actually want to play a tune, it seriously lacks. Spend $20 more and get a wooden one that has a much more pleasant sound.

Most child's first instrument. Recorder looks great, fits perfectly, sounds great. The cleaning rod it comes with is great for cleaning.

I had forgotten the pain of listening to bad recorder playing, but this brought it all back. There is nothing wrong with the product. It's solid and functional. I'm keen to get the offspring interested in music and listening to the torturous sounds of a badly played recorder is the price I have to pay. I am suffering as many parents have suffered before me. I can only hope he goes on to fame and fortune and doesnt turn into an a$$ hat and puts me in the good nursing home.
