I never write reviews, but the Mugguard is awesome! I live and ride in the foothills of NorCal above Sacramento where wet season riding is sweet, but also slimy, mucky and muddy.Typically when I return home from a winter ride I need to hose down my riding gear outdoors before washing to remove the mud caked to my backside but no more. Not only do I not need to do so anymore, this fender keeps my lower legs and shoes significantly cleaner, bike too, with just a small fraction of the mud and spatter I normally experience.Great product and was super fast and easy to install as well, perhaps 10 minutes including final adjustments.

Fits very well, easy to install and most importantly, very effective. A fair amount of rain has led to very muddy trails. The spray going up my back was unpleasant. Now, no spray and no dirty back. Should have done it sooner.

Simple purchase if you ever ride in the wet.I leave the short portion on all year round.I was the second of my riding group to get a real fender.There are now 7 that have purchased this fender in the last year, and the original guy bought this one too.Works well on full suspension and hardtails.Hands down best rear fender for a MTB bike I've seen.

The main part of the fender is excellent. It uses rubber to connect the fender to its plastic support struts to ensure it won't rattle. The adjustment "teeth" enable you to dial it in for your specific bike. The locking caps further ensure it will stay in place.The issue at least with mine is there's no way the full extension is going to stay in place. As you can see in the photos even the 4" end piece came lose and my bike didn't move from my garage! Short of super gluing it or using a bolt/nut it's simply never going to be used.

I live in pnw region. Unfortunately we gather significant experience with rain, muck, and mud. I've used most all fender products over the past 38 yrs, and Muckynutz has simply raised the bar. Ease of installation, coverage of shock and motor, versatility, and clean design and execution. A solid and well executed product and is highly adaptable to msny frame designs. I give this guard/fender my highest recommendation. Wbile its galing to be installing a guard/fender after a month riding in Virgin, UT sans such. This product makes winter in pnw viable and functional 🎯

This mudguard is awesome and flexible. Can convert from normal looking short to ugly but super effective long version. Rode in very wet and muddy conditions and my backpack, shirt, shorts, dropper post, and pivots were clean while other people had loads of gunk all over. Have confidence to ride straight through middle of the puddles and ride faster overall. I did end up losing one of the locking caps. I’m pretty sure I put it on tight but went down some super rocky rough high speed DH so things do tend to fall off in those conditions. I sent and email to muckynutz and they were nice about it and offered to send a replacement. I’m going to put a hole in the middle of the cap and placing a small zip tie just in case it happens again. Now that I’m used to riding clean and riding with abandon, don’t think I’ll go back to riding without this rear mudguard.

All the guys in the YT decoy thread raved about these. It’s for good reason. The fitment is easy and perfect. Easy to install and easy to remove. Very solid once installed. Cool packaging. More than I assumed I would get for the money. I’ll be back for more.

This thing did not cover my tire enough to keep me and the bike clean even though it states its for a 3-inch wide tire. tried them out on actual offroad, and they broke, and before they broke, they slid around and dragged against my tire. not worth a $50 price tag maybe $15

Geliefert wird das ganze im Tragebeutel.Das Zubehör ist wie vom Händler beschrieben und auf den Bildern zu erkennen.Man bekommt hier ein sehr guten Spritzschutz für sein Hinterrad am MTB die Teile sind sorgfältig gefertigt und sauber verarbeitet.Der Spritzschutz ist für jedes Rad individuell einstellbar und durch eine Verzahnung sehr stabil. Zum befestigen liegt Klettband dabei und Gummipuffer sollen ein rutschen verhindern.Ich für meinen Teil habe es mit Kabelbindern befestigt. Der Spritzschutz hält so bombenfest auch bei holperiger Fahrt.Zwar ist er mit 45 Euro recht teuer, jedoch ist dieser Schutz in meinen Augen sein Geld wert.Vor allem da man die komplette Spritzzone mit abdeckt ist es eine Bereicherung, kein volgespritzter Rahmen

Bought both front and back mudguard, they’re sturdy, hassle free installation and seem to be of good quality. Have used them for almost two weeks now and they are solid in position, lots of clearance and does the job for commuting with my work horse (trek xcaliber 2018).

Me funciona de maravilla en mi hardtail. Intente adaptar algunos anteriormente pero no quedaban del todo bien. Este encaja perfectamente. Llevo varias salidas y no se ha movido en lo absoluto. Recomiendo usar sujetadores de plástico en lugar de la tela qué incluyen para fijarlo a la bici.

I'm very impressed with this rear mudguard, like most MTBer's can't see the point but I have found that rear guards keep all the mud and crap out of the rear shock and linkage bearings prolonging their life.I always mad fun of my mate with his long mudhugger rear guard but this one doesn't look that bad and even kept me dry and the dropper post too! I was only going to use it as the short version and throw the extension away but I'm glad I didn't, I like the fact that you can swap out long or rear with just one click. Although most of the time I will use it in the short version it's nice to have the extension for when there has been a downpour.I'm impressed it's supplied with a carry bag to store the extension whilst not fitted to the bike. It fits really well and has little rubber grippers for the frame, came supplied with velcro straps although I decided to use cable ties.
