Got this for our solar system learning area and it was a hit. The quality was good and I had no issues with the children seperating it and breaking. But I do also supervise and instructed the children on how to use safely.

My 2 y/o daughter absolutely loves space and I wanted to get her something neat to further her interest. It's a simple craft, but it seems sturdy. I was a tad bit upset that you dont get to see planets/stars when you look into the kaleidoscope, but I'm not sure why I was expecting too. Its great honestly and my daughter rarely put it down.

It's nothing like the ones I had as a child. Just bits of same colored plastic that bunches as you turn it. Have not found one similar to the originals in my day.
