The 30 inch spool I was using had a hole diameter of 4 inches. On an 1-1/2 inch axel the spool just barely cleared the floor.(Plan B was to set the stands on blocks, which I would not suggest doing)Interestingly, the spool I was using exceeded the weight rating of the stands by 60 Lbs and the stands handled that weight without problem.However, you should NEVER exceed the maximum weight rating of the stands.And a week later the "table function" which I'd laughed at was very useful as a laptop computer stand lol

This wire dispenser kit is made from very strong High-density polyethylene. I was aware of this material from seeing it used in other products but I never knew the name. This stuff is strong!.The description tells you exactly what you get; 1 set of dispensers and a warrantee, nothing else. There's a complaint that you don't get a bar to hold the spools. Well the seller does not say that you do. This is logical, you would want to use your own bar based on how wide you want to space the dispenser. It can be 12 inches wide or 4 feet, it's up to you and how many spools you want it to hold.Not much else to say about it other than I think it is over priced, therefore the four stars. Yes, the material is top notch, but this is made by mold injection so the manufacturing process is not very labor intensive. I can see a price tag of about $50 instead of the $90.If you are aware of this very strong material and you need to hold many, heavy duty spools of wire, then this is the product for you, granted the $90 is in your budget.

5 STARS, I ended up finding a couch mover and I hooked it up to this so its easier to move around. Works like a charm and easy to route new cable. Been rewiring my old house and its been a charm.If you get a small dolly, you can hook it up the couch mover and make it even easier to pull around the house and garage.I will update as I use it more.
