I purchased this stand to replace a more fragile desktop tripod supporting an Elgato Teleprompter and FaceCam Pro with a Keylight Mini attached. I was planning to provide extra weight to the base using a barbell weight, but was pleasantly surprised to find that the wide base was solid and heavy, and more than adequate to provide stability and encompass the center of gravity of the assembly. I used a standard ball adapter to allow for minor tilt adjustments. This stand is solid, built like a tank, and well made. If you need to support a desktop teleprompter, a large camera, or similar device, I think you'll appreciate the quality and price point of this stand.
