This is my first Teleprompter so I really have nothing to compare to, but with that said, It’s very sturdy, it works as stated, and the app is great and easy to use.All I need is for it to perform as stated, and it does that without flaw. Good Joe!

I have tried a couple of sub-$200 teleprompters, and like this one by far the best amongst those, as it has the most versatility in the camera mounting system. The long plate (Manfrotto-style I believe) has enough room around it to have another on top; I use an Arca type clamp from Smallrig. This allows me to use an Arca-compatible cage or plate on my camera and slot it directly into the teleprompter with no plate changing. This cannot be done on the Glide Gear TMP 100, which was previously the best teleprompter in this price bracket. The Glide Gear is a wide, flat surface from camera mount to glass, so it's difficult to use any sort of quick release system. If one uses their camera for more than one type of work, this quickly gets frustrating.If you're considering the Parrotcaster or similar types, don't. I strongly advise against teleprompters that mount to the lens directly. You are putting extra strain on the lens mount that it was not designed to handle, especially when putting it on, taking it off, adding weight when you put your phone in, etc. There are many YouTubers that do this, some of them good ones, but the wear can add up over time. Better to spend $100 more on a teleprompter than to spend several times that repairing the lens mount.The only caveat to this positive review is that Elgato released a (more expensive) teleprompter. It's a different product, but one that is very well-suited towards people that primarily record (or stream!) at a computer/studio environment that gets set up and then mostly stays still. The Elgato prompter has a built-in screen and lots of useful software integrations when used with a computer, but it should be noted that it actually must be used with a computer and is not a standalone prompter for use with a phone or tablet.In comparision, this Desview teleprompter is more suited towards people who need a teleprompter to bring to location and quickly build up/tear down. Working videographers will therefore still find this the best bang for their buck.

Unbelievably low price for such fantastic quality prompter hardware! The included prompter software is super basic. Can't change fonts. Reformatting text in an existing script is very weak.

Good all-metal construction and great picture through the mirror! The app is a bit wonky but was easy enough to get working with cut and paste. Remote works as advertised. Fits my iPad Pro without issue.Although it says it won’t work with a smartphone for a camera, I was able to get my iPhone 13 Pro Max to work with the supplied mount by adding a simple smartphone tripod adapter (see review photo). The hood on the back of the prompter covered my phone completely without any light leaks.Does an excellent job for shooting YouTube videos.

I was super excited when I came across this product. The price was reasonable and it was going to fit my 2017 iPad Pro 10.5". I can confirm that when it came in I was over the moon. The build quality of the frame is impeccable. The glass is crystal clear. As I mentioned, it fit my iPad Pro very comfortably. The carrying case is also very high quality, which makes me feel comfortable taking it to and from a set that I will use it on. Great product to have in your back pocket for clients who are not very good at talking off the cuff, and makes things feel very natural. I got this to use for myself mostly in promotions with my marketing company. We do so much blog writing it would be hard to memorize all of the content. This will take things to the next level and I have already recommended this to a few colleagues. 10/10. Great work Desview! Can't wait to see what else you craft! You have a supporter.

I couldn’t ask for more. Metal metal metal everywhere. Nice anodizing and the camera mount is all metal as well and robust. How could anyone complain? I will note that unless you have the fingers of Superman, you might need a tool to tighten and release the Quick Disconnect mount from the camera.Now although it has an ok cell phone holder, that is not why I got it. So I won’t be talking about that area very much (also it looks funny because the phone is swallowed up in the light blocking cloth and since I make a living with this, my clients prefer to see a real video camera on my tripods. Yes they actually judge…Currently this has a Panasonic DSLR on it for testing and you can note that I have the QD mount in almost perfect position to balance the weight of the camera and iPad mirror unit.I am using an old iPad Air 2 with no issue and one of the professional teleprompter apps you can download (free or paid I always go for paid for the extra be if it’s I need).The setup is easy. The instructions are good. The folding parts have very stiff boarding inside and the look is very clean.Once you mount your camera to the camera riser block there is no way to twist the mound from the large and long main base. That’s a big bonus because when your working on a schedule you don’t want to have to keep making adjustments with your equipment that was affordable compared to full blown teleprompters.The case it comes in is awesome with accurate cut black foam. I cannot find any faults with this Desview T12/12 inch Aluminum Alloy Teleprompter!I sincerely hope this helps you in your decision. It is worth every penny! Oh and don’t forget to peel the reflective glass front and back opaque protector sheets off like I did the first time or your review will get off to a bad start too …. Hahahaha! I felt like an idiot… “why is everything so blurred?â€.

There’s a huge variety of options when shopping for teleprompters and a huge range of prices.This one is at the cheaper end but I’m here to tell you you need look no further. It’s well made, with high quality glass and great reflection for your phone or iPad.It first securely on a tripod and holds the camera securely.Nothing to fault with it really. It does mean you will nt be able to see your cameras flip up screen if you have one - but that’s true for any teleprompter.Recommend.
