These things arr the pinnacle of guitar string health. For the value of your money you're saving your self hundreds and ridiculous string changes and mishaps. The size is small and compact and the feel is perfect in hand. And the functionality is superb.youre nit going to get a better string cleaner for your money unless you go with this product. It's so good I bought two of them and their oil now that's a product that's valuable for the price.

This exceeded my expectations of its ability. I thought it might leave the strings greasy or have an unpleasant odor, or just really not do the job but I was wrong in all regards. The product is basically odorless and it cleans the strings wonderfully. I just bought a new acoustic guitar, and after the first play of it, my finger tips were tinged black. I washed my hands, then used this product and played again: not a single mark on it. Also, very convenient, the product comes with a small cloth to wipe the strings with after your done cleaning them to remove any excess product. I'm guessing this accounts for the lack of the greasy feeling on the strings. The back of the product has a storage container for the cloth so you'll never lose it. I would definitely recommend this and would buy it again in an instant.

This is an exceptional guitar care product and anybody who sweats a lot needs to keep this in their arsenal.I am an unfortunate soul blessed with a body that produces acidic sweat, so guitar strings last me 2-4 weeks on average before dying on me, either due to rust and corrosion or just losing their feel.This is not the case anymore! I'm a strong advocate for the entire lineup of Music Nomad's guitar products-- seriously, they have a great business model, check em out. I put a set of D'Addarios light guitar strings on both my Jackson SDX and Ibanez RG471AH in October, and they both are still clean and have plenty of life to them. Doing some math here, that's about five months worth of weekly playtime to factor in.The applicator is bigger than Fast Fret, smells better, and works so much better. After using Fast Fret for a few years with seemingly no difference in string life, I am convinced that their selling point is the placebo effect, as their claim that you "can play faster" holds no weight.At any rate, if you are somebody who enjoys taking care of your guitars and milking the strings for their entire life, look no further!

Have been using this for a while on a couple different guitars and while I can't really speak to whether they help make strings last longer or not, I can speak to the fact that it helps reduce friction on the strings while playing, which is great for acoustic and fast finger changes. It took a bit of getting used to, feeling like the strings were slimy or something (my expectation when touching a guitar string is that it be somewhat rough) but that's just mental as my fingers don't have anything on them after using this (and making sure not to use it too liberally). There's definitely a scent to this but it's not an unpleasant one (to me at least). It's somewhat sweet but definitely not a harsh chemical smell.One complaint is that it seems to arrive fairly dry, with little liquid in the sponge. I was fortunate in that I read the other reviews about this and ordered a refill pack at the same time, but you shouldn't have to do that. They should consider selling this as a 2 piece package, a dry applicator that includes a bottle to lubricate it with since it seems rather common that by the time it arrives at the consumer it's already dry. Second complaint is that it's not really clear how much is 'too much' either when refilling it or applying it. Am I putting enough on? Too much? Should I be wiping my strings after applying it or only if they're dripping wet? Would like to see better instructions on both (fill/application).

I love this thing. When it eventually dried up / got used up I recharged it by putting some mineral oil on the pad and have been doing that for a few years. Strings last a lot longer when you keep them clean. Having a little extra slickness is more important than I anticipated it would be. I wipe them down with this when done playing then use the little rag it comes with to wipe off the excess. You can achieve the same result with a rag and bottle of mineral oil, but this is very convenient and avoids a messy situation. I like how the rag stores inside the handle. Scent is pleasant but eventually goes away when you start recharging with mineral oil.

I have become a fan of Music Nomad guitar products, and this is another excellent one. People have commented on the smell. I like it, but it doesn't linger for long. You can actually apply the "String Fuel" and watch corrosion on the string disappear as you wipe off the strings with the included microfiber cloth. Better still, apply the product regularly and prevent the corrosion from forming to begin with. Like most guitar players, I go several months between string changes, and the String Fuel keeps them playing, feeling and looking better between changes. The strings will still eventually go "dead" and need to be changed, so don't go any longer between changes just because the strings stay healthier. After all, the top guitarists often change strings after every performance (actually, their guitar techs do). There is also some lubricity that keeps the string noise down and cuts back on friction. I really like this stuff.

kam aber trocken an und trocknet nach dem Auffüllen auch schnell wieder aus. Nachfüllpacks sind z.Zt. noch teilweise zu finden, aber wer weiß wie lange noch.
