Bought this recipe book stand awhile back but kitchen was being renovated at the time so today was the first use. When I got it, I wasn’t sure it would work very well, but I have to say, it holds my personal recipe collection that is in binder form quite well. Going to give it five stars for now and will update if smaller bound books don’t fit so well. It was simple and fast to put together.

I purchased this for my office, to hold my notebooks for when I type. The marble base is solid; beautiful. The gold/brass braces have to be assembled, and it is easy to do. The holder comes with 4 nuts and an elen key to wind them on. I have marble accents throughout my office and this book holder is the cherry on top.

I’ve used the arm jacks once since receiving them last week to support a piece of melamine 77 cm x 29 cm. One of the jacks fell from a height of 12 inches onto a wood floor. The impact was enough to snap off the metal break piece and rendered the jack useles.I’m surprised that something which appears to be sturdy is not able to survive a low impact, I can’t imagine it falling on a concrete floor in a garage.
