I got this guy thinking it would be a real Tatami mat (duh, the price alone should have given it away). When I got it, I was a little irritated until I used it. This is very comfortable, and I ditched my yoga mat because this thing is perfect for chilling and stretching. It also feels good to lay on, even though it's so thin.I recommend it. However, this is not it if you're looking for the traditional rush grass Tatami mat.

In a Japanese house or apartment, many features caught my attention. Among them is Tatami (畳), a traditional covering material in Japan, used since the Muromachi Period. This type of covering is present in traditional Japanese rooms known as washitsu (和室).The size of a standard tatami is 910 mm x 1820 mm, but there are other sizes. I recommend especific this Tatami because it is extremely soft and easy to fold and store. Its ends are covered with nice embroidered fabric. A bag is included that fits anywhere. I have another Tatami that is very hard with hard panels. This one is much more comfortable, especially for beginners. You can sleep, do yoga, meditate, etc.

i love this pad for winter in my bedroom as my floor is cement under in new england...so floors are cold.this pad is simple and folding but be warned it FRAGILE...no rough shoes no moving tables or such...i damaged a part a part moving a table on it...its great next to a bed but 100% not for living rooms unless your asian.in asia shoes are not permitted inside house at all...you wear slippers or inside shoes so unless you plan on doing that and most of all dont have kids this is great....like i said FRAGILE...so it wont hold up with kids ..big dogs or cats...in aisa those things are not in a house...if you have wood floors or tile this is great in winter...it summer i pack it away so it last...i am a realist so i grasp what this for and what it can endure...it wont slip easy as well...and easy to clean with mild vac or brush...but remember it wont take abuse.FYI the real ones have grass and will smeal like that...so for me with allergys this was a better option.

It’s soft on the feet, easy to wipe down. It’s cushiony, and everyone loves hanging out on it. When I need to clean around it, it folds up easily. It’s much harder to fold of it was 1 giant piece. I’m in love with this mat. This was supposed to be my yoga mat but my kids took it over since they love playing on it. I’ll have to buy another one. Highly recommended!!

I love this mat! Super well made, easy to fold and seems very durable. And I love the feel of laying on it.... everyone who visits and tries it, loves it! Great padding on the back, too.

My expectations were to at least get $80 worth of surface material. What I got was an uneven (pictured), embarrassing quality, damaged, toilet paper thin trimmed cloth. I had a desire to have something to appreciate while I spend time on the floor. It’s not worth it at all.
