The only negative I have to say about this knocker is that they need to give you about 3 or 4 sizes of mounting screws - I ended up having to cut the longer screws because the short ones were too short, and the long ones were too long. Lucky I have tools to cut them with but it was a hassle that could have been avoided with one more set of screws in the box.Other than that, I love the knocker. It looks totally old-world and right in place on my Spanish-style door.

Plain and simple -- easy to install, and it works well. Perfect for the small space I had to fit it into, but big enough to easily grab ring and knock -- and sturdy, too. Love the look of it.

Nice, heavy and chunky like I wanted for my castle door but had to deduct one star because the square metal flange around the mounting screw is slightly too large to fit into the square hole on the mounting plate. Not sure what I need to do but may have to return for replacement or try to grind down the square a bit with a power tool to fit it in. Have contacted seller and awaiting a response.

I wanted something that felt solid and hefty in the hand, not cheep and flimsy, and this was perfect. It was easy to install (tho my door already had holes in it from a previous knocker in the correct place, so check out what you'd be working with first).

It looks nice and is sturdy. However the screws are too short, size of screw is not listed, no instructions with size of hole to drill, no template so marking and drilling holes was not easy and I had to redrill the bottom hole. Once installed its sturdy but not flush with the door; the knocker's spine is slightly bent in.

Screws are too short for most exterior doirs, slightly crooked & was chipped. Have not been able to install as a result. A “could have been nice†that simply doesn't work.
