This is a well-made adapter that could be critical if you are powerless in Tesla-ville. My region has relatively few Tesla stations, but there are a couple of locations that have both of the common charger plugs. So far, this has not saved me because I couldn't get to the CCS-style charger, but it has saved me time when the CCS units were full, and I could juice up my Mach-E from the Telsa-style units.

This is a review of “ NACS to CCS1 Supercharging Adapter 500A 250KW,EV Charging Plug for Tesla V3/V4 DC Supercharger Stations Compatible with Ford,GM,Rivian,Volvo,and Polestar EVsâ€This converter is a great way to ensure you can charge your EV at any of the myriad of TSCs around the country. Unfortunately the lunatic in charge of the TCSs has locked most EVs out of their supercharger network. I can’t use this yet, but hopefully someday I will be able to. I really like the included hard case that will keep this adapter clean and fresh and ready to use once the network is opened up. If yo u have ford or other EV that has been granted access to the mythical kingdom, this would be a great backup plan

I work for a large automotive manufacturer and wanted to give this a try on our vehicle that isn't released yet. We are not currently supported by Tesla, and found out the hard way that we are blocked from charging by Tesla. I tested on a V3 (250kW) charger and when attempting to charge, the Tesla app cancels the charge session and says the vehicle is not supported. Oh well, it was worth a try, and good to know. Do not buy this if your vehicle is not listed as supported by Tesla, it won't charge. The magic dock (V4) charger works great on any EV (has a CCS1 built-in to the charger), but those chargers are few and far between.The adapter itself is high quality, fitment in the charge port was snug, and the Tesla NACS plug went in easily enough. Looking at my data collected I could see the adapter was working correctly, plugin was confirmed, but charging session was cancelled by the EVSE (Tesla).

A nice adapter that comes in a case. - tldrI wanted to be able to charge at the Tesla chargers nearby in a pinch, this adapter is perfect for that. You'll note my car doesn't charge fast, i didn't precondition the pack before charging. Also Polestar 2 (2023 PPP US spec) Just doesn't charge much over 150, ever.I fired up the big T app, plugged the adapter onto the NACS plug and then plugged the adapter into the car. I think this is the smartest way to go about it. The charge started within 30s and the peak charge rate observed was 140kw, limited by the car. I did a feel test of temperatures a few times during the charge and found that the adapter was only ever so slightly warmer than ambient. At charge conclusion i was able to handle the adapter fine, as again it was only ever so slightly warmer than the NACS plug and cable. This is a hefty little adapter, which i know doesn't necessarily mean quality but it "felt" quality to me. If you are in the market for an adapter this one works well, feels solid, comes with a case and i don't know that i could ask for more.

If you are a non-Tesla EV owner, and you want to use Tesla Superchargers, this NACS to CCS1 adapter is a great choice. This is sturdy and well made, and even comes with a protective carry case that’s super GREAT for travel. It’s really simple to set it up and it charges quickly but remember charging time may vary based on the supercharger station, electric vehicle specification, environmental conditions and battery temperature. My car’s charger only went up to around 140 kW, but the adapter never got hot and I had a good feeling about its quality and safety. It takes a little bit to get the twist lock thing to lock the adapter onto the Tesla charger, but I found it easier to just put the adapter into the car and plug it in after that. This adapter is the real deal, feels premium, is reliable, and is a great backup option to have! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This adaptor is well built, connects smoothly with my Ford Mustang Mach-E port.The shape is short, Providing a shorter route and less resistant path for the high current.Have not had issues with the Tesla Supercharger.I order this as I am STILL waiting for my “free†adapter from Ford that I ordered March 8 2024 ! ! !Recommended for enabling charging on the Tesla network. This is a huge upgrade for Ford and Rivian owners (at the moment), given that the EA network leaves a lot to desire, to say the least, with a large percentage of their stations down / out of service a large lines waiting for the 1 or 2 stations available, next to 10’s of empty Tesla stations (like at Harris Ranch in California Central Valley).Recommended.
