Bought this thinking it had the prong attachment as shown in the pictures but I was gravely mistaken. It has a micro USB charger which does NOT work with my doorbell.l, which is very misleading. Had to cut the charger off, strip the wires, and attach prongs to the ends of the wires so that it would maybe work with my doorbell. It’s up and attached so we shall see when I have full sunlight at the front door if it’s going to work or not.Gave only 1 star due to the misleading pictures displaying a prong charger and I got a micro USB charger. I shouldn’t have had to make changes to something to make it work. I will update my review once I can verify if the modification actually did anything.Do better with your product description and what customers are actually getting. If it has a micro USB please make that clear so customers don’t waste their time.

Re-mounted an existing doorbell on front door and and existing doorbell on the side door entry into the garage.It’s easy to install and, despite the front door not getting full sun, it appears to be keeping the charge up without battery changes.The footprint is larger than the doorbell, so adding it to an existing doorbell neatly hides existing mounting holes and paint fading artifacts around the mount.One downside is the signal strength (RSSI) to the doorbells appears to have been lowered by 5 after installation.Likely the wrap around design is shielding some of the signal.For one of the doorbells it is a meaningless difference.The other one still works, but is marginal.If you already have a minimal signal strength that may be a problem.In my case the level is adequate (it’s working fine), but I will be adding a wifi extender or mesh for other purposes anyway in the very near future.

It's installed and apparently is working. It will be a week or three before I'll know if the Ring Doorbell battery stays charged up.

I have the Ring version on one doorbell, and this on my other one. This keeps my doorbell charged. The ring one has to be recharged every few weeks with similar sunlight exposure. I have not had to recharge this doorbell once. Very happy with this product.
