As someone who is renting I did not want to drill holes into the front door so I decided to try this out for my Ring video doorbell Camera. Setting it up was very easy, I was worried it would wobble in the case but they provide padding to prevent that which was nice, the ring camera is stable and fits in the case perfectly without any movement. Getting it on the door was simple, it does not interfere with the door closing or opening, and is easy to untighten from the back to take it off, if we need to charge the ring camera.I have noticed it has left a little indent in the door from being there for a few months so that is my only negative. But I might of had it on to tight at first. Of course, much better alternatives to drilling it in.I have not noticed any issues with motion or detection when there is someone at my front door. The only downside is that I have my Ring camera on the side of the door with this mount, not the middle. There is a wall right by that side so there is a blind spot there on the other side of that wall. But overall the appearance and material of the case is worth the price, overall good substitute for drilling holes and glad I bought this.

I loved the design and sturdiness with the ease of installation but due to me having a screen door it didn’t work for me and the position of my doorbell I could not install the ring doorbell or the lock box. My advice to anyone with a screen door should consider before purchasing

What I really want to emphasize in this review is what I said in the headline: this makes it so your ring cannot be stolen. I had a ring taken off the wall at a previous house. This is thick metal that would require a lot of cutting or very loud working to get off your front door. It is also non-marking and great for a rental. The only gripe that I have is that it is so thick that it shoves the weather strip away from the door, which lets cold air in. It's a trad eoff I am willing to make, though.

This works really well and would recommend. I am still rating 5 stars even though I had one slight issue which I was able to resolve which was the screw driver that didn’t work well when trying to unscrew the screws. I had to purchase a sturdier screw driver from the hardware shop.

This doorbell is so amazing and we are very happy to have it. You could follow on your phone and it will let you know if someone is at the door you will see them

UPDATE: The nighttime vision/infrared does not work with this product due to the shape of the cut out on the front of this product.This case works great with my door. But when you are tightening it, it bends out. And It is not very tight at all.

Product was not super durable- could be broken if a person really wanted to. Easy to install for sure.

This is a good option for renters who can’t drill a doorbell into a wall or door but definitely interferes in the door closing
