HVAC technicians can use this valve core removal tool for both 1/4″ and 5/16″ flare fittings and systems with high pressure (including R410A), and it is vacuum-rated to 20 microns. It’s a small and handy tool built with a metal handle for durability, with a packaging size of 5.87 in x 4.84 inches x 1.65 inches, and weighs only 9.59 ounces.

I got to for use when installing my mini-split. Did remove the Schrader values to assist when evacuating. Did excactly what I needed with no leakage. Not cheap but very well made.

Even though the 5/16 is threaded on, I can pull sub 100 micron vacuums on mini splits. It is a bit too big to fit on some AC units with how small of an area you get to work with

At first this seemed like a good core remover. I had problems with the gaskets in my Appion so I thought I would give this one a try. I have had it a while but I have not used it more than a dozen times. It will hold vacuum fine until I begin to turn the ball valve. Then it loses my vacuum almost immediately.

Idk, was worried after reading a few reviews, but it worked great for one mini split install. Held vacuum to 200 microns. Pulled out and put in the Schrader wo a problem. See how it lasts after a few more uses. Pretty sure I could put a new roll pin in anyway if it broke...not sure why the other guy didn't think of that? Guess he never assembled a firearm before

Best tool for removing the valve core on the condensers . Save your time on the vacuum procedure. I really recommend it.

It was a decision between the popular Appion and this one. I'm really happy with the construction and operation of the core removal tool. I also like that the stem is longer and doesn't bottom out like the Appion. It also comes with an additional coupling on the 5/8 end. Sometimes it goes on sale so if you're interested in this tool, keep an eye on the price.

Good tool for changing cores, nice that it comes with the 5/16 attachment for ductless/side discharge units

This is supposed to be one of the new "top of the line" brands, isn't it? The price sure would make you think that anyway... 100$. Its outright missing the seal on the 5/16 adapter. The spare o rings that come with it, dont have this o ring... the size is not common, or atleast Its not one of the 60 types of o rings I have... then, the o ring for the schrader remover itself, appear to be the missong o ring... jammed into the threads. I nearly couldnt get it apart out of the packaging and needed to use plyers to undo the thread...As someone who takes pride in their tools, because they put food on theor table... this is kind of a joke. Is there no quality control? This just screams another low quality china branded piece with a strong marjeting team.. dont get me wrong, the thing has some weight, and wants to be quality but its not... and that leads me to the valve itself... failure happen where the 200lb gorilla interacts with the "thing" in this case the valve handle is sloppy beyond belief. Like it falls back and forth on its own. Id give it a month in a tool pouch (that isnt fully armoured) before the handle breaks off.....All in all, first navac purchase, and definitely my last.. incredible... 100$.....
