Nice kit with everything needed to install. The installer will need the proper type of drill bit (s) for the material the holder is being fastened into. I installed the fasteners it into masonry mortar, between the bricks, using a starter punch, a smaller bit then the final size bit. It seems sturdy to do the job yet light enough to install and take down the flag. The two pole set screws in the stand will help it better remain in the stand when windy. It arrived well package and protected in multiple bubble wraps, two parts bags and Allen wrench. It looks nice and the bearing design is valued feature to reduce flag tangles.

This flag pole is 1" diameter rod, which is stronger and better than the 3/4" pole I had before. Very good. And the flag attach devices with bearings so the flag won't wrap around the pole in the wind were excellent! I only wish it had something a wee bit more elegant at the top, like an eagle or something better than just a round ball. But the ball will suffice.Now... there were instructions how to assemble the pole, and how to place the flag attach bearing devices with the included allen wrench, but... there were NO instructions how to drill and mount the base mount thing to my house exterior wall! What size drill bit? I have stucco house, with steel frame! Tough to drill into steel frame, so I moved the mount to a place that had no frame behind the stucco and lathe or whatever it was. Had to experiment to find the correct drill size to slip (pound?) the little white screw emplacement devices into the holes. But once I did all that, the base mount is apparently secure to the house now, and I hope the wind and bouncing flag pole won't rip it away!

Sturdy and tangle free (almost). Had to rig a cover over the knob’s to prevent the flag from getting caught on the knob. The sections will loosen up so you have to regularly tighten the sections back up, otherwise these are great

Can't go wrong for the money when it comes to a low-budget flag pole. Other than really cheap screws, the pole and mount are worth the price of admission. A couple tips to get the most out of this pole (hint: it's all about the lube....):1. The two spinning rings with ball bearings will benefit from a small bit of oil. 3-in-1, whatever oil is handy. I always have some Mobil 1 in an old-style oil can for just such an occasion. There are top/bottom sets of bearings on each spinner, so four in total, so make sure you get a LITTLE oil on all four!2. The individual pole sections screw together easily enough. If you have issues with them being stickty, or you expect to be taking your pole apart on a regular basis (such as annually) then a small smear of Vaseline on the threads (both inside and outside) will work wonders for you.3. Perhaps most importantly of all, I left a small bit of slack in my flag once hung on the spinning rings. I would NOT recommend pulling it completely taut. I think this is where some folks may be running into trouble with their flag not spinning properly on its rings as it should. Just a slight bit of slack; the little carabiners will still looked stretched to their limit, or close, but there should still be a bit of slack in the edge of the flag running along the pole. This is what I've done, and my flag (happens to be Finland's national flag) waves - and spins - perfectly.

This flag pole went together easily and the flag cannot get tangled up any more.

This flag pole is worth the money. This flag pole uses spinning attachments so the flag does not get tangled or all wrapped up around the pole, like others do without the spinning attachment.

The sections screw together for sturdiness and the design of the rotating collars instead of 1 thin rotating piece for holding the flag to avoid entanglement seems more likely to last longer and function better.

I cannot in any way recommend this product for any purpose that may put stress on the bracket... such as holding the supplied flagpole. The quality of the metal used in this product meant that the bracket snapped after two weeks use. You can clearly see that the metal is granular and not solid in any way. It's as if they coated plaster with some metal to make it seem like it was solid.I should have realised as the supplied screws were so light that they would probably float on water. If you're looking for an "expandable" flagpole to hold and wave around, then this might work but as a "fixed to a wall" pole, it's completely useless, and potentially dangerous if it snaps and drops on someone's head.
