My 11th grader has played sax in our school’s band since 6th grade. We upgraded his sax a couple years ago, and with that, he asked for a better neck strap. So, I bought that as well. It was better than the original that came with the instrument. However, it significantly pulled his neck forward and is now breaking apart. I ordered him a new neck strap, but I did not realize it was the same one he already had. I am returning it because we want a better option that will be better for him. It came in time though and there were no issues with it. We never even took it out of the package. Hopefully it will work well for others; it just didn’t work for us after some time.

My daughter originally tried the Neotech "Classic" saxophone strap (https://smile.amazon.com/Neotech-Classic-Swivel-Saxophone-2001172/dp/B000P4FL64/) purchased from a local band retailer but the stitching around the perimeter ended up rubbing raw spots into the skin above her collar bones to the point of skin loss and superficial ulcerations on both sides. We switched her to this strap and the problem was solved. No more rubbing. No more raw spots. No more pain. She noticed an immediate difference even before the raw spots created by the classic version had healed. This version, in our experience, has been the most comfortable option for marching band. Highly recommend this version over the classic for any marching band players. Static sitting players may not find rubbing to be an issue with the classic but it certainly was when marching. This version may not sound as fancy without the "laminated construction of neoprene layers, nylon reinforcement and comfort foam" that the classic has but it is definitely more comfortable when marching.

I love this neckstrap - as a music education major who plays alto, tenor, and Bari saxophone, this neckstrap is comfortable, easy to adjust and has a clip that actually closes around the ring on the saxophone (a lot don't close completely and I adore the extra reassurance).

Her Sax came with a really cheap neck strap. It hurt her neck. So before her parade, I ordered this one. It was great. It kept her neck from getting soaked with sweat (some of the other kids was soaked) it’s super comfortable. It doesn’t dig in. She has super sensitive skin and this did not welt her up. Nice and wide to help distribute the weight better. She’s had it for quite awhile now and it’s still in perfect condition...nothing is fraying, discolored, etc. A++++++ neck strap. My daughter is so picky (she has to be because of her skin) and she absolutely loves it. Her friend has a really expensive neck strap but it makes her sweaty, well she tried this one day and fell in love and is making her mom order one. This is the best price around. The music stores want more for it. Just buy it. You won’t regret it!!!
