This dial indicator and magnetic base is great for the price and fits the need I have. If this is for everyday usage or if you need really reliable accuracy, you might rather go with a more recognized name, but for checking some basic runout measurements on occasion, this fits the bill at a bargain price. Also, when traveling, tools that don't break the bank are ideal for my needs, so this unit is exactly what I was looking for.

Seems to be accurate. The touch needle needed to be tightened out of the box, as it caused measurement variation. After adjustment it seems to hold. Fine adjustment knob is a little finicky, but gets the job done. Base magnet is secure. Tightened the arm knob seems to be secure also.

Nice little dial indicator, Especially for the money. My only complaint is. You cannot store the indicator in the box with the dovetail clamp on it.( Which they call connecting block LOL) Looks of pretty good quality and seems accurate Enough. does not have any play.

Great product for the price, seems to work well! I was checking cam shaft movement in side of a motor. Magnetic base is small enough for that to work well. I have only had the unit for a short time now, that is all I have used it for, at this point.

Weaker than anticipated magnet. Good reach ability. I wish there was a bit more travel in the indicator probe.

Stylus does not move outside of the measuring range, it also feels very cheap, and the movement of the needle is clunky. Might be suitable for a hobbyist but I will not be using it for work. No issues with the mag base/arm though, that works great.
