This easy to replace part fixed the problem. My 2010 F150 would not shift out of park. I found a YouTube video that showed this brake switch, just above the brake pedal, could be the problem. It also showed how to replace this part. After watching the video, I would reach under the dash, work the flexible "button" on the old brake switch back and forth a couple times, and then I could switch out of park and be on my way. After doing that 4 times in one morning, I decided to buy this very inexpensive, easy to replace brake switch .. thanks YouTube, thank you Amazon, all working fine now !!

I was getting ready to cross the country when my car's cruise control stopped working and my tail lights remained stuck on even when the car was off and locked. Fortunately this is about as easy of a swap as you're going to get, and even after 2500 miles of driving, it's still working just as intended. I did pick up a junkyard switch just in case, but so far I feel like this was a good choice

Switch restored my shifter interlock function now is releasing shifter from Park to Drive etc.

This was a very important part which I was sent a Chinese copy and which failed to work after installing it.The gear got stuck. Luckily, I was not very far from home. I had my family and children with me.Not sure, if I can claim a refund for a faulty part.
