The size of this is impressive and it’s fairly priced for the size. It’s solid feeling and doesn’t flex and bend much, makes a great base to work on. I’ve purchased smaller felt pads for more money with regret. What I needed is a white felt pad and that is how I found this one. My other felt pad is a beautiful deep burgundy but felting white colored projects on it is awful as white felts pick up colored felt from the original felt pad. Now I can create a white yetti or abdominal snowmen with depraved abandon and I am glad to have found this product. Great buy, you may have similar needs and if so I recommend it highly.

This is a very basic set of needle felting supplies meant to augment an existing collection as this does not contain everything you need to get started. This set consists of a rather nice felted mat, a three needle holder (needles included), and a nice little instruction booklet. You'll need more needles of varying sizes, some finger protectors, a wool carder and wool roving if you are just beginning to learn this craft. This set is particularly nice to have on hand if you are teaching someone else how to felt. Always good to have extra supplies!

I like the tag it gives a place to park the needle felting pen. And when the pen is in use the pen cap. Nice solid base for felting.

This is really a nice little set with good tools to get started with needle felting. The problem that I have with it is the smell. It's really awful. It smells like it was on a boat from overseas for a long time or stored improperly. The smell is quite strong.

i am very pleased with this purchase. The large size mat (10X10) is great to work on especially for a large piece. I do mostly felt painting on a flat surface and this works extremely well. The mat is sturdy but not so hard that needles break easily. Highly recommend this felting mat. An excellent value.

This felting block is really nice. It includes everything you need to get started on small felting projects. Mine arrived a little curved, but this isn’t a deal breaker since it still provides a nice background to work on. The part that most annoys me is that there is a good size tag on one side. It would’ve been better to put the tag on the narrow side so that both larger sides of the block could be used.

I was looking for a multi needle tool for my larger projects and this one works for me quite nicely. It’s easy to hold and feels sturdy while in use. The mat works/protects well and doesn’t apply too much resistance against the felting needles which can cause them to break easier. Really nice addition to my other felting tools.
