While not "military grade" or even close to it these night vision binoculars work and work well! I was able to see small branches and even leaves on a tree in almost complete darkness at 100 yards not to mention easily spotting and identifying larger objects and animals at greater distances. The brightness has 3 levels so you can adjust the ir levels to suit the ambient light available for the best definition and clarity.There is the bonus technology of taking pictures and video of what you're seeing and it even comes with an SD card for storage.All in all a cool item at a fair price for yourself or great gift for any outdoorsman.

Last year I kickstarted a set of night vision goggles for a couple hundred bucks. The video quality was amazing, offering AI full color capability and it had batteries too could swap out and recharge- and those did not last long… but though they advertised as being able to be mounted on a helmet, they were zoomed in making everything 6ft or so away appear right in front of your face, making them no good for my purposes and in my opinion a rip-off. These make no such claims, so I’m not nearly as disappointed.I was not expecting the video quality of these to be as good as the other pair, given these are priced half as much, but it is pretty darn close and really crisp and impressive. Yes, it’s “just” a cmos sensor like you’d probably get in a high-end security camera, but to someone who once played with a $40,000 set of NVGs over 20 yrs ago I gotta say the image quality on these blows those away- BUT- whereas I could run up and down bleachers using those, I would not attempt that with these due to the focal point being too far off so you can’t set it to 1x or no zoom… meaning were I to attempt such activity with these I’d probably break my neck- making these, like the ones I backed, a cool toy.The controls on these are pretty intuitive and shouldn’t take long to get used to in the dark… though there is an option to illuminate the buttons, eliminating guesswork. Nice. First thing I did was set the date, turn off the annoying button click noise, and dim the screen. Not just to save battery, but it’s just dang bright. I wish it might dim a little more, but it’s fine at the lowest setting.The only significant differences between the one I backed and this one are that this model has an onboard rechargeable battery, the colors aren’t quite as vivid with the illuminator on since this doesn’t have AI, and batteries are not swappable, but this seems to last longer than the other’s 2 batteries. I can still read the titles on books across the room with these, in the dark, with the IR on. That’s pretty cool.Again, this has the same problem as the other in that it’s zoomed in so everything 5-6 ft away appears right in front of you, making walking or doing anything else while using them problematic. I’d love if they would do a 1x so there’s no zoom. Sadly, as with the other, there’s no zooming out enough to get there. I’m guessing everything like this is that way.That being equal, these are a better price and deal considering the excellent video quality you get. You can pay double or more for a little more capability, but the trade off in power consumption to me isn’t worth it. I give these the edge there- even with the drawback that you can’t swap batteries because the other chewed through them so fast. Perhaps you could charge these with a usb-power bank as a slight trade-off if you needed to.Bottom line? I think for what they are and how they stack up against a more expensive competitor, these are a great deal.I recommend them if you aren’t trying to walk while using them and just want to see things in the dark at a bit of a distance. Not so much for trying to go for a stroll in the woods at night or aim anything… there are other products for that sort of thing.

I've been using these binoculars for a week, and they've worked great. The large screen made it easy to focus and zoom in on wildlife. The battery lasted for several days after a full charge, and the included storage bag made it easy to carry. I also love the camera function, which allowed me to capture beautiful landscapes and interesting moments along the way. The product comes with a 32GB micro SD card, so I had plenty of storage. A reliable and great value product for outdoor enthusiasts!
