I have been using this to connect my temporary smaller generator that can only output 30A to the inlet box that was installed to handle up to 50A. I've been able to use this 3 times now and it has worked perfectly. The quality is good and very sturdy. Plug stays secure both in the generator and with the 50A cable to inlet box.

These "45 Amp" adapters are great to run both AC's if you're parked at your own place, friends/family, and can hit 2 separate 20 Amp (with a 20/15 -> 30 doggone on the 30Amp input) or even better if they have 30Amp + 20 Amp avail. You CANNOT use these with GFCI circuits due to how the neutral's are bonded so never expect one to work at a park or where proper hook ups are in place. This thing is parking at the in-laws, etc where you can run extension cords to two separate outlets. Also DO NOT use it with only 1 of the power inputs as it won't work as expected for a 50Amp rig - These sorts of dogbones (either this style or the 2 15AMP input) only work if you you're feeding both "input" legs. I'll also note these are not intended to be permanent solutions - It's a way to feed both 120V legs on your 50Amp rig with some power in a temporary situation. I keep it in my storage bin in-case we can use it in our travels, but for parks I use a standard 30A to 50A dogbone if I need to hook up my 50A rig and there isn't 50A service at the pedestal.
