I purchased several bamboo flutes and I am already having issues with the arid weather here in Colorado.I was fortunate to find this Nine Section Dong Xiao Eight Hole Resin flute. It is great with tonality and pitch here in the Mile High City. It is not bamboo but it does provide a soothing sound. Reminds me of the old saying ""all cognac is brandy, but not all brandy is cognac". Bamboo requires humidity so I periodically have to oil the inside, none of that with this resin flute, ( maybe a good wash once in a while ) I am surprised no one has reviewed this instrument, I am about ready to buy another one. Also a shout out to Jake Pinnick for his online classes on playing the Xiao.
