Two Pad Water Quality Test Strip
The Nitrite Nitrate test strip is used to test for Nitrites & Nitrates in solution simultaneously. The Nitrate pad detects Nitrate in solution at 10, 25, 50, 100, 250, & 500ppm. The Nitrite pad detects Nitrite in solution at 0, .5, 1, 5, 10, & 25ppm. Nitrite test strips are often used when testing for Nitrites in wine, seafood, and sandwich meats, such as ham and bologna. Nitrate test strips are often used to test fertilizer run-off in agricultural areas.

The magnitudinal difference between litmus value and actual chemical titration value can be as much as a 5X magnitude. Not really accurate enough for me to put my Tiger Oscar's existence at risk. However, a person can actually use the litmus tests to confirm a trending pattern, with a certain level of confidence. Beyond that, though, I would not trust the actual coefficients rendered as absolute values.

Seem to be fairly accurate readings because it tests similar to another strip I have that reads 8 items for my pool. I also like the fact that these strips don't expire until 2/2025.

I used these while I was cycling my 75-gallon aquarium. They definitely change color and react to the nitrites and nitrates. I found them easier to read than strips I’ve used in the past. I bought another tube when I ran out

I am an environmental science teacher and I purchased this for a lab my students were performing. It worked well enough for the lab. Wished they had a larger printout.

I’ve tried a couple strips in water that I know has nitrates and the strips don’t change color at all. I purchased the aquacheck brand and they pick up the nitrates fine and change color showing the amount present in the water. These do not change colors at all. Very disappointed!
