Bought these to fit my 2 gallon buckets in a cooler. They are the perfect size and they are oddly super cute. Because they are so small I have had to refill them within a couple days, no big deal.

Its a smaller and low profile airlock so it allows more clearance for shelves. But since its small it needs more maintenance. Be smart if you have a fermentation that might blow a smaller airlock use a larger airlock or blow off tube. The 1star reviews about it not holding enough liquid are ridiculous its half the size of a 3 piece airlock of course it holds less liquid

I was looking for a low-profile airlock for cold-crashing in a 1-gallon carboy in my mini-fridge and these are perfect. Fit in standard airlock pre-drilled holes and are half the height of traditional 3-part airlock, and 1/3 height of traditional 2-part airlocks. Pictures indicate 3", but it's really about 2.5", with the body being 1.5" and the stem 1".Very happy with my purchase!

I was initially very intrigued by these 2-piece airlocks so I bought a few. Biggest problem is they do not hold sufficient liquid so for a very active and more so very vigorous fermentation, you will need to top it up daily. Then again topping it up is much more difficult since removing the lid (1) Allows air into the fermenter and (2) If you are not very careful the liquid that you are using to top up the airlock will go directly into your brew. I find that they are just barely ok for aging my brews since there is no fermenration taking place but even so, you gotta monitor them very closely for even natural degassing speeds up evaporation of the liquid. I say bypass this one.

I thought that I would like the 2 piece design. I find that it is harder to top the off without allowing oxygen in. I will use these on small jar fermenting.

I got these because they were nice and small, so I was pleased to not have them take up so much space. I bought some growlers and a shelf to store them all on, and was worried about clearance so I got the smallest airlocks I could find. Big mistake. I don't know what's going on with these, but they're the only airlocks I've ever had which I've needed to refill the water every few days. It's maddening.Pros:- Small.Cons:- Unusable.Other thoughts:- Get something else. These are absolutely not worth buying. I won't buy them again, and I recommend you avoid them as well.
