I recently got an electric popcorn maker, and it has completely changed my snacking game! My microwave broke down, and I suddenly realized that the only thing I ever made in there was popcorn. I couldn't imagine living without it, so I decided to invest in this popcorn maker, and I’m so glad I did! This electric popcorn maker makes fresh popcorn that is absolutely delicious. It’s super easy to use—just add the kernels, turn it on, and within minutes, you have a big bowl of fluffy popcorn ready to enjoy. Cleanup is a breeze, too! The parts are easy to wash, and I love that I don’t have to deal with any leftover microwave mess.If you're a popcorn lover like me, this electric popcorn maker is a must-have. It’s quick, easy, and makes the perfect snack every time. I can’t recommend it enough!

I haven't had a hot-oil popcorn popper since the early 80s and it was clunky and heavy so I was a little hesitant when I removed this one from the box and felt how light it was (even though it looks almost identical to my old one) but it worked beautifully and produced tender yet crispy popcorn, VERY different than the microwave popcorn I've been eating for years (that I thought was better than the hot air popcorn trend)Everyone loves the popcorn you get at theaters, right.. and that's because they pop it IN OIL ..it really does make a huge difference in texture!!Also, it's been my experience that microwaving popcorn leaves a smell in the microwave no matter how you clean it, because of that "butter" flavor.. and let's be honest, it's certainly NOT real butter and probably clogs your arteries worse than if you eat the real thing! Ask your doctor! So take a culinary trip back to the time when food was purer... this is simply popcorn roasted in a tiny bit of oil the way Grandma made it (except she probably used a big pot on top of the stove) and your taste buds will LOVE ITAnd cleanup is a breezeNo eternal ghost smell of "butter"in the microwave, either!Okay, I'm gonna go finish the bowl now! Don't want to waste THIS!!

I thought this size would be perfect. However it is much smaller than I thought. I make a lot of popcorn at once to munch on for several days. It makes great popcorn but I’m popping it for 1/2 hour to get enough and it gets pretty hot. But it works and keeps on popping! I wish I would have bought a bigger size. But all in all if you don’t eat much popcorn, this is for you!

I was only able to use this popper a couple times before throwing it in the trash. The first time I used it, it did a poor job of popping the kernels and left several kernels unpopped. The popped corn tends to get stuck in the spinning wire. Cleaning is a pain. The second time I used it, MOST of the kernels were unpopped. Because of this, there was still oil left in the pan. When I flipped it over, the oil spilled everywhere and got inside the unit. I was afraid this could cause a fire if I used it again, so I just thew it away.I do NOT recommend this popper. An air popper works much better. Or just make popcorn on a stove top, it's easier than you think.

It makes great old school popcorn 🍿 lots of flavor options and you don't really get that flavor from Air popped

The 'Nostalgia SP660SS' popcorn popper is to the Original StirCrazy popcorn popper as 'Spaghetti'Os' is to actual spaghetti. OK if you're not expecting anything like the Real Thing.Quirks & Peculiarities & What to Do About Them... 1. Generally flimsy construction. Not much you can do here other than Compensate. A. Handle All parts with Gentle Firmness, particularly the center post, stirring rod & center knob assembly which is quite wobbly. B. Stirring rod not centered on post &/or of uneven lengths ( one end too long for space ). If you find that one end of the rod is scraping the inner edge enough to abrade the non-stick surface, using power tools Shorten & Round-Off Smooth the excess length. I used a Fordham flex-shaft tool for this. If you're not comfortable doing this yourself, you probably have a friend who's into some kind of metal work who can help you out. (hint: Jewelry Makers are usually experienced & well equipped for such endeavors & don't forget about your friendly local Model Railroader or Hobbyist.) 2. User Misinformation Manual A. 'How to Operate' instructions start with the usual "Clean by Wiping With a Soft Cloth Before First Use" which are typically inadequate. I'm sure you were already prepared to actually clean it with dish suds & let dry. If not - Do It. Two or three times if you want. B. Good To Go? NOT YET....WAY NOT YET. BEFORE POPPING ANY CORN YOU INTEND TO EAT you'll need to hop in the car & go buy a couple of bags of the cheapest popcorn & store brand oil you can get. WHY??? you ask. Because it takes at least 10+ uses to get rid of the Smell & Taste of Hot Plastic & Motor Oil (as in Machine Motor Oil). By popping up a batch or two a day of junk popcorn for a week 'n' a half or so you'll be rewarded with a popper that finally makes good popcorn & during this 'Break-in' time the neighborhood birds will love you. (While you find it desirable to do this, or something like it, with pretty much all new poppers, this one took quite a lot more repetitions than usual.) C. LESS IS MORE !!! Please start out with a small amount of whatever popping corn you like using as different brands have different qualities of 'Poppiness'. My Experience: Using the Measures provided, with 'Orville Redenbacher' 'Original' two(2) measures starts pushing the bowl up off of the popper base, the bottom layer gets crushed & immobilized against the heated 'popping surface' which then scorches it before overflowing the bowl as the base is removed. No Big Deal - Easy Fix - USE LESS Corn (1/3 cup instead if 1/2 cup). The oil measurements suggested, however, are completely off for any type of oil. It seemed like a lot of oil when reading their instructions but tried their quantities first since oils aren't subject to the high variability if volume change that the kernels are. Big Mistake! The oil was running out of the rim & overflowing from the handles, running down the sides & puddling on the counter top. Turning the whole thing over to remove the base from the bowl summoned the ghost of the Exon/Valdez. There again, USE LESS.All-in-all, the 'Nostalgia SP660SS' ultimately does what it's intended to do. It works & hasn't fallen apart yet although it threatens to do so at any moment. Clearly, more effort went into Image Design & Packaging than the application of basic principals of functional design or integrity of manufacture.I bought my Good Ol' 'StirCrazy Popcorn Popper' for $2 at a flea market in 1965+/- as a student. It quickly became my desktop 'Kitchen-in-a-Bowl' & eventually a world traveler. After 40+ years of faithful companionship, 'Ol' Stir' went AWOL during the move to my current home. In the 9 years since, this is the 4th 'replacement' & this is the last time.

Had previous model from same company. It was great but after many years wore out tried other brands - just didn’t pop as good or way to wide for the counter. Hunted down this one and it is even an improved design. Absolutely this is the one to get.

Recomiendo comprarla.
