You need to be a strong person to lock and load this giant slingshot. The pull for 50 feet is probably 80lbs + to lock into the clamped on trigger mechanism. Trigger was separate and you really need it. I bought an 11oz shot bag and kit with special string and larger rope with handles for the saw. You need to follow their directions and load the bag just so before to pull the rubber slingshot down into the trigger.Aiming it was actually easier than I thought.I practiced in a big yard to find out how to use it. Worth the money and fun to use. Well made.

I put it on the top of the lower pole, just under the silver joining sleeve. It takes quite a bit of arm strength to pull the slingshot down and latch it. In return, it is so much easier to aim and launch a 9 oz weight and arbor cord high into the tree branches.

Big Shot is an awesome tool for placing lines in tree canopies. We are using ours to install ham radio wire antennas from tree to tree. The Big Shot Slingshot heavy rubber cords require a mighty pull—which makes it difficult to pull and aim at the same time. The Big Hot trigger makes it easy to point and aim with good accuracy. Highly recommend it!

Wow, does this thing work well. Without the trigger, I could only shoot a weight about 20-25 feet into a tree. With the trigger enabling you to aim better, I have put a shot into the crotch of a 40' tree. Amazing. I worry about replacing the rubber gasket though.

I got the Big Shot Sling shot to help hang light up snow flakes from the top of some trees for Christmas display. Adding the trigger made this so much easier. Sometimes the trigger sticks a little but otherwise has been great

As an Arborist that works predominantly on urban street trees this is a time saver. It allows me to higher points in the tree a lot quicker than manually throwing and with a hell of a lot less attempts. It’s a tight fit on my big shot pole but it goes on easy enough. Within 2 shots I’d figured out how to use it efficiently. It was actually cheaper to buy from Amazon than my local stockist. Extremely happy with this purchase.
