I was bothered that there was tape on the box, so quickly opened it expecting to see a used Chuck. Instead there is a nice note about how they tape up the box and put the note in there. Nice job guys. On to the chuck. This is my third Nova Chuck. I had a G3, and a Titan, well the G3 died after 15 years. I chose this to replace it as the sealed internals are worth it. The chuck is heavy and well built, it moves easily with the same "clicky" feel as the titan. That click helps you know when you have it tight. Jaws from my previous chucks fit perfectly. The 8mm allen key now has finger grips making it fit your hand much better. I like the insert option as you can change the insert to match the lathe you are using it on, I was able to upgrade without having to buy a new chuck, making it a better value even though you have to purchase an insert.

I purchased the chuck body, and I’m very pleased with its performance. It arrived with all the necessary screws and parts, exactly as described, With the 8 screws for the jaws. The insert was purchased separately and fit my lathe perfectly. You can lock the chuck to the insert. The chuck works flawlessly, providing a strong and secure grip on the workpiece, as the direct thread I got with the lathe. No added vibrations. Great quality and excellent value – highly recommended

The chuck is fine but the screws were missing. I was told to send it back which was stupid since all I needed was the screws that were missing. Never did get any replacement screws. Amazon has a set for $10.00

Nothing unexpected here. A buyer should be aware that the lite version of this product is warranted fir 2 years vs 6 years for the Protek variants.No extras and none were expected.Shipping was insanely fast especially considering that it had to cross the Canada to US border to get here.Great seller experience!

Purchased two insert version chuck bodies and neither one included jaw screws. So now I have two useless chucks which I will be returning.

I bought three of these with inserts, have been having various results in terms of wobble in the chuck. My spindle is within 1/2 a ten-thousandth of an inch, but depending on how I use the set screw I see easily noticed visible wobble at the chuck, without wood in it, and the jaws tightened.It seems to me that having a set screw on only one side of the shaft is a REALLY BAD IDEA.
