Focusrite MiniNova is a powerful mini-keys synth with incredible performance controls, which enable you to tweak and warp the onboard sounds and your own voice. It has the same synth-engine as UltraNova, and comes with 256 sounds. It also has a fully editable Nova-class synth engine. MiniNova' s compact size, massive sound, and performance/editing controls make it perfect for producers, gigging musicians, and anyone creating music with computers. It can also be a 37 key controller keyboard with MIDI I/O. The Vocal Tune and vocoder enable you to recreate classic vocal effects, as well as new voice-bending possibilities. MiniNova has 256 onboard sounds and space to save another 128 sounds. It comes with a free software Patch Librarian so you can store as many sounds as you want on your computer. MiniNova has knobs that allow you to tweak and edit sounds, but it can also 'animate' sound with 8 back-lit buttons. These trigger 'mods' in the synth engine can warp sound in incredible ways. There is also a large knob for filter cut-off so you can get instant control. You can run your voice through MiniNova' s effects engine and there is an input into which you can plug a guitar or any other instrument and give it the same treatment. MiniNova has an enormously powerful synth engine with 14 conventional waveforms to choose from, 36 wavetables, and 20 digital waveforms. Each of the 3 oscillators (per voice) have density. There are 14 filter types, 6 envelope generators, 3 LFOs and 20 modulation slots where you can link modules of the synth engine together to shape sound. MiniNova can add up to 5 effects to each voice including distortion, reverb, chorus/phase, delay, compressor, EQ and Novation's unique gator effect. Editing sounds in such a powerful synth can be overwhelming, so we've created the MiniNova Editor which works as a plug-in within your DAW or music software. You can fully edit MiniNova using the hardware and the software makes it easier to see what you are doing.

I have an old 88 key Korg digital stage piano from the 80's that only has two sounds. I bought the mininova figuring it would help bring new life to the old piano. HOLY S^%$# did it ever! You can spend days just checking out all the presets and have a blast doing it. Then you can go on Novation's website and download a ton of other new sounds in addition to creating your own. It comes with free software that allows you to store the sounds on your laptop, control the synth from your laptop and even connects to DAW software. I paid just under $400 for this and I honestly would've paid twice that. I hooked a Korg Volca Beats drum machine up to it and they even sync tempo and timing via the midi cable! Freakin' amazing! I will love this synth as long as I live. Not kidding. If you're considering one... BUY IT!

A little pricey, after buying I found the same thing with lots of accessories that this doesn't have but that's what I get for not shopping a little more before buying! Having said that, it is very nice, sounds great and will get used often!

I really wanted to rock out to some sweet 80's pop and this baby fits the bill. Fantastic range of options and sounds great, plus a nice compact size. Keep in mind you do need an external speaker to hear it (or headphones), I use my Fender amp that I normally use for my electric guitar and it works perfect.

Der Synth, den man oben in meinem Rig sehen kann, ist der MiniNova. Die Aufnahmen stammen von einem Gig neulich. Warum ich den MiniNova empfehlen kann. Er ist klein und leicht, hat aber, ohne dass man an den Sounds basteln muss, einiges brauchbare an Leads, Pads und anderen Klängen im Gepäck. Wer viel mit Instrumenten unterwegs ist, ob zum Proberaum oder zum Gig, weiß wie lästig das sein kann, ständig schwere Keyboards schleppen zu müssen. Da kommt der MiniNova wie gerufen. Wer, wie ich, eher kleinere Hände hat, kommt mit der Tastatur gut zu Recht und wird mehr als passable Ergebnisse erzielen. Spannend sind auch die Möglichkeiten mit einem Tastendruck die Sounds zu modulieren. Das gibt dem Keyboardspiel eine andere Note. Also ausprobieren, experimentieren. Ich gebe meinen MiniNova nicht mehr her :-).

Sfizioso e intuitivo. La Novation ha fatto un prodotto davvero adatto anche a chi si é appena affacciato a questo tipo di strumenti. Bei suoni, tante risorse per personalizzarli. Punto forte i Vocoder, punto debole i tasti un po’ piccoli e a prima vista fragilini. Comunque é un prodotto che vale ogni euro speso, la consigliamo perché offre tante opzioni di utilizzo.

El paquete llegó perfecto, absolutamente ningún desperfecto y en un tiempo récord (24 horas).En esencia, el Novation Mininova se parece mucho al MicroKorg, pero tiene un motor de sÃntesis totalmente distinto; dos osciladores y mayor polifonÃa. Lo que más me gusta, es que se puede conectar al PC vÃa USB (también tiene conexión MIDI, tranquis). El arpegiador que tiene, es gloria bendita y suena que te cagas. Te aseguro que estarás HORAS trasteando y flipando con los sonidos y secuencias que esta bestia pequeñaja puede hacer. Te lo garantizo.Además, el propio instrumento viene con un software que puedes descargarte previo registro del producto en la Web de Novation. Te regalan el Ableton Live Lite POR LA PATILLA.Y por si esto fuese poco, en la Web de Novation te puedes bajar un programa para gestionar los bancos de sonidos del instrumento de una forma que entenderÃa hasta tu suegra, ¡y encima puedes descargarte montones de sonidicos nuevos, gratis...!Pues eso, que pese a tener mi fiel Microkorg, decidà comprar el Mininova... Y oye... EncantadÃsimo con el cacharrete. Se oye y funciona de maravilla.Las cosas malas: el manual viene en inglés. Y el cargador viene con clavijas USA, aunque puedes ponerle tú la clavija EUR, o usar un transformador de móvil de 9 voltios (como hago yo), pero más no, que lo torras.Hay gente que se queja de las teclas pequeñajas que tiene... Pero quejarse de esto en un producto que es un MICRO sintetizador, es de ser poco espabilao. Si quieres un teclado grande, pillate el Ultranova u otro más gordo. Si quieres ahorrar espacio, tocar en vivo, o te interesa la portabilidad, el Mininova va perfecto. No te calientes más la cabeza.Añado una fotillo para que veáis que no me lo estoy inventando. Encendido es una caña, tiene más luces que el coche fantástico.

Fantastic sounds and really easy to use. Mini keys are a problem but the arpagiator and vocoder are great fun. Thiis is ideal for a cramped home studio to add colour to recordings. The vocoder is pretty good too and the unit is really solidly made.
