You wanna crack nuts, no problem. Just on small issue, I turned my back for a moment and one of my kids grabbed the pliers, opened it too wide and popped the little spring loose then proceeded to smash a nut along with the spring. No big deal, just watch out for that spring

My parents and Grand parents used to have a bowl of unshelled walnuts, Brazil nuts, pecans on their table from thanksgiving to new years.Used to love sitting around, talking and cracking the sheets and getting the fresh nuts inside.This brings back memories. Glad I got them.Both crackers work well.

Both pieces have fallen apart. The small one lost the padded part of the handle and the large one is cast junk that broke before the nut.
