This is a terrific little griddle. Perfect size for my countertop. Heats up very quickly, and temperature adjustment knob gives me the correct heat no matter what I'm making. It does make a slight buzz while heating up which stops when it comes to temperature, but that's all it is, a slight buzz. Not a detraction at all. I do recommend this product.

The internal temperature control mechanism is preventing the hotplate from reaching a temperature high enough to cook the tortilla/roti thoroughly.

I used a crepe pan for years, but never really liked it. This electric pan is great! The spreader is really helpful. However, the turner is not useful -- it's too thick to get under the crepe to turn it. A rubber spatula works much better.
