My daughter is a high school oboe player and has been since 6th grade. She was in need of replacement reeds desperately so we purchased these for her in a bind. Unfortunately, of the 10 purchased only four reeds didn't immediately crack when submerged in water as is usual when preparing the reeds. The plastic and wrapping hides imperfections in the reeds when being handcrafted. Do not purchase these reeds as they are very low quality. It is better to invest in medium-soft or whatever level reed is required. If you do, in fact, make your own reeds you are better left creating them on your own. Save yourself the money.

Package was 5 days late and 10 vials placed in 8x14 bag with no additional wrapping or packing. Only 4 of the 10 made noise when blown into.
