Starts my 1999 ram like nothing less then a 10 minute job actually it’s a lot better then the one I took out of the truck with was a auto zone one 10/10 would recommend will update if fails but so far very great

I opened the box and was surprised to find a DENSO starter with test sheet listing complete test data. It is heavy, which is good for electric motors. It looks and weighs the same as the original OEM DENSO starter. Note that many other starters in the same price range and not DENSO products list a weight of 12 lbs while this one is 18 lbs. Seems too good to be true for the price, but don't look a gift horse in the mouth. I have lots of clearance under my 1999 Dodge Ram 4x4, but this is still not an easy repair job, but not as difficult as many other repairs either. I did the entire replacement from below . Fortunately I have many tools, and my specialty low profile ratchet wrenches came in handy accessing the three 10mm 12-point bolts to remove the old unit. There is no core return for this product, so I get to keep the old starter to rebuild and keep in standby - so that in ANOTHER 10 years if I need to replace the starter I will have a DENSO ready to go! Of course, the best part is that after installing the new starter, when I turned the ignition key, this thing latched on to the flywheel and turned the engine over and started it RIGHT NOW!

So far so good. I didn't realize how weak my old starter was until I installed this one. Only been on a few days but works great.
