The brake locks are murder to your heels and tendon. Absolutely unforgiving experience. They work well, but almost too well. It can be a fight with the chair as the wheel you locked won't always be in the same place. They roll weird also, almost in a stuck and drag feeling. Their height is strange as well. I use an Aeron and it is either too low or too high when using these wheels. I am always adjusting my other things to compensate (ie, Uplift desk and keyboard tray.) I have had these for a year now and I am going to look for something else. They are the same as when I bought them though. Just some poor design choices.

These are very smooth on my hardwood floor. The stops are a great feature as I sim race in a gaming chair and don’t want it to move. I have noticed these made my chair much higher, also my chair will roll on it’s own since the wheels are so smooth. Could be worse problems, overall great.

I've worked from home for decades and owned several different models of chairs, from the high-end to the bargain basement. One thing they all seem to have in common: cheap plastic wheels. If the wheels don't break first, they roll unevenly, wear down quickly and constantly snag cables and cords up inside the plastic "shield" thing that comes down in the front.Replacing the wheels on a desk chair is an inexpensive upgrade with a big payoff. You'll extend the life of your chair and your enjoyment of it, and may even prevent damage to your hardwood or tile floors. The RockCaster 3" Office Chair Caster Wheels work great on my heavy-duty home office chair. I had first tried replacing the plastic wheels with a set of rubber-wheeled casters, but disappointingly, those kept getting stuck on the carpet beneath my desk.My desk chair is big. I weigh 220 and have wide hips, so I decided to splurge on a chair with a 25-inch wide seat. The chair itself weighs 60-lbs. Removing the old wheels and inserting the new ones was NOT the simple "pull the old ones out and push the new ones in" operation that I expected. The first time I tried to pull out a plastic wheel, the wheel detached from the stem, leaving the stem inserted. I had to grab it with a pair of pliers and wiggle and pull it out. I discovered that a side-to-side wiggle motion while pulling, and while pushing the new ones in, was what was needed on my chair. Yours may be different. The RockCaster polyurethane wheels roll smoothly and handle the carpet much better. I don't think I'll need the brake that is included on each wheel, but it's a nice extra to have, just in case. Highly recommended!

I originally ordered these as an upgrade to my standing work desk because one of the plastic caster wheels broke and kept auto-locking itself, but unfortunately, the frame itself (where the wheel attached to) was too messed up to switch them out. Basically, the metal piece inside partially detached and was bent. With a little "MacGyver" ingenuity, I was able to Frankenstein my metal desk frame to attach these wheels. It's like a night and day difference! These wheels smoothly glide across multiple surfaces without catching or tripping up (hardwood/vinyl/tile to padded carpet). I mainly use on a rug with foam mats underneath (similar to an anti-fatigue mat). I understand these are meant for computer/desk chairs, but I was unable to test them on my rolling stool because I didn't realize it had threaded wheels, so I cannot honestly review based on body weight. They somewhat remind me of the wheels on my rollerblades from 20+ years ago, both in size and material.I didn't notice any scuffing. I had no difficulty in changing direction. There were a couple times I accidentally stepped on the brake - I personally don't think it's sensitive, at least compared to the previous plastic wheel's brakes; they do stick out significantly enough that if this was used as an office chair wheel as intended, I can definitely see them being accidentally locked if you put your feet up like I do. The pro do this is that the brakes work really well!

I love having these types of wheels on my chairs. They are perfect for smooth rolling around rooms and are better at keeping hair out of the wheels. 10/10 would recommend.

Wheels make for very smooth motion with my chair, brakes are excellent and keep the chair from moving.Only complaint is that the brakes are a bit tough to engage when you're sitting in the chair. But overall worth it for me.

We had a theory that these would be easier to roll the chair around on a mat on carpet. We were wrong.they're so thick and heavy that they immediately want to create impressions to sink inot, and actually made it harder to maneuver . If you're buying them for an office chair, I suggest only doing so if you have a hard surface floor. They also raise you a couple inches, which made me too high for my keyboard and monitor setup. HOWEVER, my 6'2" son needed the boost because he got an electric desk that he could adjust for his height, and needed the extra height in his chair as well. He's been quite happy as a result.

Product appears to be high quality and is as expected in appearance and apparent quality. Chair glides quietly across my office's hardwood floor now. No damage to the floor. Great product for this expensive surface.

5 out of 5 Stars (5)âââââ[TL;DR]✅ Quick install✅ No tools required✅ Installed quicker than it took to boil a French press coffee👠I recommend these casters. Upgrade from original wheels.👠I would like these on all my office chairs. I would order again.[QUALITY] (5/5)[VALUE] (5/5)[EASE OF USE] (5/5)[MET EXPECTATIONS] (5/5)[PACKAGING] (5/5)[REVIEW REMARKS]These wheels/casters remind me of my old skateboard wheels. They are soft and seem like they would be gentler on floors than the original plastic wheels that came on my chair. These wheels are very easy to install. However, this also implies that your wheels coming off your chair will co-operate with you and come off easy. I did not run into do many snags with the swap of the old with the new, however I can see older casters not wanting to come off without a fight. These wheels/casters have locks on them, which lock and unlock easy enough. I see these as being more of a hassle, especially when your locks are engaged without your knowledge. Cue the office pranks! I was snug into my desk and my wheels were locked on me...thankfully mercy was offered as I was stuck. LOL!All-in-all, I see these as an upgrade to the manufacturer's included casters. These chair casters were $21.99 at the time of ordering for 5 casters/wheels. I feel there is good value in these, and I would recommend them to anyone with wheels to be replaced on your office chair. These casters seem to be softer on my floors, which is always a concern. I never want to damage my wood floors. I do use these with a chair mat for extra protection of the floor. They roll amazing...! I just wish I had a long hallway to drag race down.In the event that experiences change or evolve, updates may be made to this review to address such developments.
