My office chair is ancient, but actually still in good shape. But I wanted a little more lift than the original cylinder offered. Ordered the replacement lift cylinder, my grown son installed it, and it works wonderfully. Gives me the extra height that I need when painting, is quiet when I get in or out of the chair, and holds the height when I sit or rise. Well worth the investment!

Built a standup desk with a frame purchased on Amazon. Unfortunately my original chair height did not work. Purchased this extender and now it’s the perfect height when sitting.

It's too squishy. I probably should have returned it but didn't as I wasn't quite sure it was defective vs. maybe this is just something you have to live with when these things are so long, but since then I've decided it's just defective. I ended up buying a piece of pipe to put around the shaft to prevent it from squishing down when I sit on it.

My office chair was in good shape, but it would slowly sink while I worked. Replacing the old bad cylinder with this means I did not have to send the whole chair to the landfill and I saved about $200+ instead of buying an all-new chair. The hardest part is removing the old cylinder. I ended up banging on it with vice-grips around the old cylinder while hitting hard with a mallet (actually a dead blow hammer). It finally let loose and putting this new one in was a breeze. The nice chrome finish was too nice to cover up with the original plastic cover, so I deleted that from my chair. Now I can sit up high all day!

My ten year old office chair was losing air in the lift cylinder and I thought I'd have to buy a new chair, but I really like this "old" one. After doing a little Google searching I found replacement cylinders, some more expensive than others, and settled on this unit. There were no instructions on how to go about doing the replacement but I easily found what I needed on YouTube . Replacement took about ten minutes using just a hammer to knock out the old cylinder (though YouTube suggests a pipe wrench if needed).I was very impressed with the ease of this repair and the solid quality of the new cylinder, and passed the info along to my family.

Be aware, this thing goes big. It was a bit too high for me.

Es más alto que el piston que tenia, justo lo que necesitaba porque ahora puedo apoyarme bien en mi escritorio y estirar bien mis pies porque no quedan colgando y no se baja el piston
