The fact that I work from home means that I spend many hours sitting at my desk, and I recently became aware that the low-pile carpet in my office area was beginning to show signs of wear and tear from my chair. I wanted to preserve my flooring while also making it easier for me to walk about throughout the day, so I utilized this product to accomplish both of those benefits. Upon receiving the mat, I was instantly amazed by its thickness as well as its resistance to wear and tear. My opinion is that the quality is there from the moment you open the package. The process of unrolling it was simple, and it was able to settle down on the carpet in a short amount of time without causing any bothersome curling at the edges. In my opinion, the translucent design is a good touch since it does not interfere with the beauty of my space. The pattern of the carpet is still apparent, which is something that I love. The process of rolling my chair over the mat is painless and uncomplicated. Previously, the wheels of my chair would often get entangled in the carpet threads, which made it quite difficult for me to modify my posture. Currently, I have the impression that I am able to move fluidly from one section of my desk to another. My productivity has unquestionably increased as a result of this since I am no longer continuously sidetracked by minor annoyances. To me, one of the most advantageous aspects of the mat is the ease with which it can be moved.

I will start w/what I feel is good about this carpet mat thus far... it is thick and durable. The carpet grips/teeth are the right size/length for low pile carpet. Now for the things I've experienced since receiving. It was so very difficult to unroll. I sat objects on the corners overnight so it would flatten out and after a few days now it still isn't laying flat. Dents do appear where an item is placed but go away after the object is moved. The mat DOES PROTECT THE CARPET and allows the chair's wheels to move around as intended. Overall, the chair mat protects the carpet, looks so good but be prepared for a workout to get it unrolled.

I disliked that it was difficult as all get out to unroll. I sent it back. after getting it, I realized I should have read the reviews. people had to leave it out in the sun for a day or put it in a hot shower to be able to unroll it. I will always read reviews.

This chair mat came in a smaller than expected box, it was long but only about 4" across. Upon taking this thing out the challenge starts with getting it un-rolled and flat. I first tried to man handle it but it just wound up with me getting bit by the pegs that are meant to dig into the carpet.What worked for me eventually was letting this thing sit out in the sun to get it warmed up which made it more pliyable. Once I was able to get one end un-rolled I stuck a large storage container on it and started rolling out the other end. The total process took about 4 days to get it to lay flat and actually get to use it as intended. Overall it does well, but what a process. I am not sure if it being so stiff means it is going to last longer or shorter.The last time I bought one of these the plastic was much more pliable and was flat after being rolled out for a day. Time will tell, but I am knocking off a star because what a process it is to get this un-rolled. If you do not have much upper strength and are trying to do this on your own your going to probably have a bad time.
