Pros: Takes heavy loads of firewood without deforming. Remains scuff free and clear.Con: Arrives rolled up and takes a week to eventually flatten out on the floor...acceptable tradeoff for the heavy duty thickness.

4 stars because of how hardy this mat is and for the fact that I think it doesn't work for me because I have very plush carpets. Someone with less plush carpeting may like this product better.Likes:- this mat is damn near indestructible. I'm a tall guy and weigh 240 lbs and this mat doesn't even have a single crack in it after this long (bare in mind, I swapped my desk chair wheels out for gel inline skate like wheels. Regular desk chair wheels might wear this mat down more). I work remote so it has seen use almost everyday since I bought it.- Great size- Strong pins on the bottomCons:- The mat has a habit of moving across my carpet- the mat is so strong that if I roll onto it from the carpet in my office, the edges lift up from the weight of the wheel, and prevents the rest of my wheels getting on. This chews them up and also making little chunks of rubber fly about my room. This happens almost every time I do this, and it is incredibly frustrating. I personally believe that this is only because of how deep my carpets are though. Maybe it is better for customers with less plush carpeting. Had I known this in advance I wouldn't have bought from this brand

We used this across a transition between a run and wood floor (the rug ends not far behind the desk, so the desk chair was constantly catching on the run and bunching it up). This has worked great to help roll over that transition. I saw some complaints about warming this up before you roll it out, but our house was just below 70 degrees F when we rolled it out and weighted it down and we had no problems. Have bought a second one for another desk since then.

I bought this because it was cheaper than most other brands, but I surely got what I paid for. I placed this on a berber rug, you know, very tight knit short haired rug. The floor protector when it arrived came rolled up and it took a day for it to relax, with a lot of effort on my part to flatten it out. I even had to place a space heater next to it to get it to relax! And even with its dimples on the underside, it still won't remain in place. Always moving around when I move my chair. I had to screw it to the floor! And my office chair leaves dimples in the plastic making it very difficult to move around. Simply put, this is a really cheap and barely usable piece of crap. Don't waste your money on it. Spend a little more and get a solid (not flexible) floor protector. You'll be glad you did.

I bought this and it arrived quickly. Good seller. However, since this is a heavy duty, much thicker mat, it arrives tightly rolled up in a long carton. It has been out now for two full days, with things sitting on it etc - and I still cannot use it yet - it keeps curling back up... I was thinking of getting it flat with the weights again, and then maybe applying a hot blow dryer to it or something? Not sure - but I like the thickness and the feel so far. Hopefully will be just as good once I finally get it into place. WARNING - make SURE you have a second person help you unroll it to get weights onto the corners - otherwise it is a futile attempt LOL

Any polyurethane or PVC mat like this will be hard to unroll. I could have done it on my own but having two people and some books to hold down the corners was helpful. The mat itself grips the carpet properly and stays in place. It protects the carpet from my office chair and I have no complaints. It stays in place!!!Highly recommended.

This works for my application. It looks good for a while but eventually the plastic breaks down and requires replacement. It grips the carpet well. It is somewhat soft, so after sitting for a while the wheels of my chair sink into their own divots. This requires a little more effort to roll. The divots flatten out and the mat returns to normal afterward. The price is OK for what one gets.
